Wow!! 500 pounds?? That’s $1,000 or a touch more out here. Fabulous! I could definitely hurt myself with that kind of money. Now, help the inner Brit in me understand this: I know that “quid” for pound is like saying “buck” for dollar, here. But, in your sentence, you said that something you’d wanted cost “a quid”. So, does that have a value, as in a number, like “stone” does? Thanks for putting up with me. I really enjoy languages and dialects, so this is very interesting to me. 🙂 Thanks! 🙂 KT

I am reminded of KC & The Sunshine Band’s “Shake Your Booty.” Just a classic song.
I can leave a note now. Sometimes I can’t leave notes on your entries for some reason. Lovely to be able to treat yourself to all of those goodies. I like the colourful rug!

RYN: I looked and LOOKED for a switch or plug – I think they’ve had trouble before – it was all hidden. ARGH! Yes, god only knows what I’ll go back to – more stupidity. Still, I just had an interesting letter from the taxation dept .. I’ll have to work at least anohter 2 years. SO, I will have to accept that thigns I cannot change etc . How is your writing going, you lucky granny, you?
ryn: OK, but you just married off my aunt to her younger brother. That might explain why I never heard about it.

Ok, wrap up all your rugs and send them t me please? Ta. No…? *pfffft* :p I love that last bit about Lily’s Granda 🙂 Do you still get readings from Honor? I was thinking I might treat myself to a reading for Christmas…the last one she did for me was a month before meeting Ian…xx
Laughing fit to burst at the dog poo in your bag. You’re an amazing writer and i enjoy reading you.Of course granda is looking out for her, i believe we all have someone. You’ve bought some lovely thinga with the money, now you can enjoy having them xx
RYN: yes, just got off the pohne whith Mum, who said somethign tha happened must have been brefore her mother died. Well, yeah, Mum. Grandma died in 2000. The even was in about 1990. I have somethign in particular I cna relate it to, though, and maybe she doesn’t … but still, you have ot check everything. What a worthwhile project!
RYN: Thanks for checking but no baby yet. I’m going to post a short email that I sent Brad this morning. I love all the new things you got. Amazon.com had anything! I do a lot of shopping on there.
Okay, that is VERY weird about the delivery time…. Great rugs! And great other Fun Stuff — that is my kind of purse, with lots of zippers and pouches… although perhaps not for dog poo! Amazon is WONDERFUL. We actually bought our Brand New TV from Amazon, which is not something I’d generally do. But it was the exact same thing at the exact same price as Best Buy, plus free two day shipping since we have Amazon Prime, which meant we did not have to fight the Post Thanksgiving Insane Crowds at Best Buy. I’ve gotten to where I order most things from Amazon. We have to drive two hours to get to a town that has more than a WalMart so it’s cheaper and better quality, not to mention you actually have lots of choices at Amazon. I’m not sure how we all survived without the internet.

If you’d like to see the outside of my house online, go to Google, then maps. Type in: 312 E. El Morado Ct, Ontario, CA 91764. Click on Satellite, then drag that little yellow man onto the street. My house is blue with a huge tree surrounded by rocks. If you’d like to see the house we had before, do the same, but enter: 422 W. C Street, Ontario, CA 91762. I will put the interior pics of thehouse on OD–but never on Facebook. They’ve gotten a bit balsy with their sharing practices. LOL 🙂 KT
BEFORE it happened, I KNEW it would! I am still laughing./ Love the modern design of your home. The purple rug and the pine (I think) furniture. Fit for a magazine photo shoot. / Also laughed at your ride on your new chair. Well done! / Aww, Trooper is right there by your bed, same as my nephew Cisco. / Your gift fortune was well spent!

However, I listened to it again last night and to my amazement she described Chris to a T. Everything, right down to the dental problems he had soon after I met him. Everything, that is – except the fact that he was a violent asshole…she said hewas a really nice guy lol!xx

RYN: You looked!! 🙂 I’m so glad. And, yes, the kids have their own version of our house. I’ll post a proper pic of that, too. 🙂 It was an inheritance gift to them from Hunny’s parents. His mother died just two months before our wedding. His father died when Alana was 3, so she basically has no memory of him. This wee house was a way to give the kids part of the inheritance money in a waythat they could appreciate. The kids have it decorated for Christmas–complete with a mini tree! 🙂 I promise I’ll get pics–it’s soooo cute! 🙂 KT

RYN: the kilts. I think it would have been a great school uniform! 🙂 I found out that not only could I get the Armstrong kilts, but I could also get the McConnell kilts (my husband’s name). At this point, a kilt would be out of the question, but I’d just love to get him a tie! 🙂 KT

RYN: We wear wigs because traditional Irish dancers wear them. In fact, all the feis (fesh) schools wear them. We wear them when we do traditional dances in our traditional dresses, but rarely for non-traditional shows, such as the Best of Broadway show. I sure hope she doesn’t want us using these new, heavy ones for the spring shows. I had a tight neck after wearing this one for two hours, today! LOL 🙂 KT
well apparently we all have one so Im told all we have to do is ask him for a name and wel be told somehow 🙂 you not been to mine for ages why not 🙂
RYN: They stay for free – sleep on your “couch” or a spare bed etc. Check out couchsurfing.com A cool community of people who don’t just want to be tourists but want to meet people, talk, eat, and drink together, experience the local culture. Sometimes they are just poor students but whole families travel too. I intend to do some next year when I am in the UK.
