Teeny Bopper Madness
Disney is dancing in the street. With Hannah Montana, it’s like they’ve hit an oil well that will not stop gushing. They’ve found an endless pot of gold. They’ve released her concert into a new 3-D movie, and it made a whopping $29 million over the weekend. Mobs of teenage girls and boys and children are dragging their parents to see the show. The character has cast a spell over kids that they want anything with the label on it. All kinds of Hannah Montana toys are flying off the shelves. You could put her name on brussel sprouts and they’d sell.
It’s funny how the power of marketing will drive the purchases of households again and again. Curious George toys and other shows continue to prove that this is a thriving industry. Toy makers will always be making a buck. It’s a funny thing.
Hannha Montana will soon pass. Her day of glory will fade, but for now, she’s cashing in the winning ticket.
yeah, my one friend at work is really into High School Musical, it gets old after awhile.
