Leader Retreat

I just got back from a weekend for a leader retreat.  It was very encouraging overall, and a great time of fellowship with friends and brothers and sisters in Christ.  The talks seem to become more and more repetitive as the years go on, but that is kind of predictable.  The leaders get younger and their fashions are a bit stranger than I remember.  I saw a handful of leaders wearing gothic boots and interesting shoes.  But at the same time, I saw a lot of highschoolmusical.  So, there was a wide range.

I don’t think I’ve bought a shirt in 2 years.  I used to always look at my leader and laugh at his fashion, but it has become the same for me.  The only new clothes I get are gifts.  I’d just rather spend my money somewhere else. 

I’m looking forward to the spring season of ministry.  I feel like God is going to move in powerful ways.
