Dave Matthews in Cincinnati
Well, DMB came and went again last night, and it was another great show. I don’t know what it is, but Cincinnati goes crazy over Dave. I guess his mellow, rock out jams hit home to this midwestern city. I have so many friends who would credit him to being their favorite musician. Plus, every guy and his mother who plays guitar learns a Dave song.
His concerts always seem to draw the most fashionable of people. Among other things smoke there, you can find some people drawing on a Gurkha cigar and lots of cigarettes. People can consistently sneak in some other stimulants to Riverbend, whether it’s by an unchecked fence or deep down in their National Geographic backpack. For them, it’s like exploring nature when you are out in the rain, looking at the river, and getting high. Dave is always a huge party. What’s strange is when you see parents getting high and drunk and they have their toddler kids with them. It’s kind of like, "come on, are you ever going to be responsible." At least they didn’t need any of this, because the sun wasn’t out. People were partying in the rain last night, so kids didn’t get sunburned.
I guess we’ll see you again next year Dave.
