Back to Work
I just got back from my vacation to France and now it is back to work. One of the more pressing issues is the fact that our dishwasher is broken. The seal broke and leaked straight to the motor. So, I want to replace it, but it’s a little one. To put in a regular dishwasher, it would take a remodel of the whole kitchen.
So, I’ve put my dad to work. He used to like this stuff, but now it seems like a burden to him. I find this quite odd, since he is retired and doesn’t have anything else to do. So, we’re looking at all kinds of new things, mainly cabinets to buy. With them, we’re shopping for the right wooden dowel and other materials. It should take at least a full days work to remodel.
Dad has helped me with all kinds of things on this house already. He changed out my basement outlets from 220v to 110. Of course, it took me blowing up a surge protector before he realized the amount of voltage. Pretty funny. He’s also helped me put in bathtub inserts and other tasks like a new mailbox. Someone’s love language is certainly acts of service.
