Size 8, Feels great!

I was in DESPERATE need of dress pants for work last week.

It was very chilly there for atleast a week, and I only had three dress pants! I used to could wear jeans to my old job, but my boss here at my new job said she preferred me wearing professional attire, and we don’t really do the CASUAL FRIDAY thing here so I liked to have a heart attack the morning I woke up and had to wear cropped pants on a  50 degree morning!

I went to Goodwill here in town hoping to atleast find a decent pair in my size.(10)  Fail.

I saw a grey Mossimo pair that was a size 8, and I was like, "Lets do this!"
I went in the dressing room and they were too tight, but I thought they would fit within the next two weeks if I kept dieting like I was.

(This time I’m not quitting til I reach my goal, remember?)

I wanted to wear them so bad last week, but I felt like it was too soon, and if they were still too tight I was going to feel like my diet was not working, even if it only had been like two days since I got them!  (I’m so weird, only I understand my weirdness!)

We went pant shopping on Saturday, and I found two pairs in a size 9/10 at MAURICES.  Which was awesome!

Anywho- the Mossimo grey pant sat in the hamper for that whole week, until we finally washed a dark load Sunday night.

I wanted to wear them on Monday to see if they fit yet, but I decided I was not ready yet.
I wanted to wear them on Tuesday but I told myself I still wasn’t ready.

This morniiiiing…. I got up, took a deep breath and I ironed the grey pants.

I got ready, and saved the "thigh battle" for last.

When I put them on, they smoothely went  all the way up, and I buttoned them up with no problem.

I remember staring at myself in the mirror last Monday, saying "HOPEFULLY THEY WILL FIT NEXT WEEK."

………….AND THEY DID!

Just a little update on my diet: Obviously, it’s going pretty well. Still do 1200 calories Monday through Thursday.  I don’t count my calories on the weekends or excercise, but I do eat five small meals instead of three big meals. Since I have been doing this for a while now, I do find that I am eating less even if I don’t count calories. I get fuller faster, well maybe not faster, but I am full after my first plate. When I am asked if I want seconds, my stomach is like "NO!!!" and I can’t imagine myself eating another plate.

Last night Lo got home late and did not get a chance to thaw out my chicken.  He was hungry, and I did not feel like cooking anyway so I asked him if he wanted to get a bite instead. He said he wanted CHURCHS but he knew I was watching my weight, so he said whatever I wanted was fine. I admit, I freaked out as soon as he said CHURCHS. But then I remembered  looking in EAT THIS, NOT THAT  (book) and I saw that  you could still eat out and eat REAL FOOD without eating  all the unnecessary calories. KFC’s page had a picture of  a grilled chicken breast, chicken leg, and a side of mashed potatoes with gravy for like 360 calories.

To make a long story short, we went to Churchs, and I got a Spicy Breast, a side of mashed potatoes with gravy and a biscuit and barely went over my calorie intake. By the time the mashed potatoes were gone, I was too full to eat anymore and half of the breast just sat there. I got the meal, so Lo ate the wing that came with it, and I didn’t touch the soda that came with it, I put  half of a LIGHT pink lemonade packet in a bottle of water and had my delicious dinner.

So I definitely not afraid of CHURCHS anymore!  Yay!

I know I will lose the weight. The problem is not losing the weight, it’s keeping it off. Wish me luck:)
