Woo?

Wow, two entries, two days?

I didn’t get to watch T.V. last night.  I opted instead to go and take a hot bath.  I think that was the better idea… just me and a book. I even put bath oils in the bath… which reminds me, I need ot scrub out the tub and get all the oil out of it before Mom takes a shower and slips.  I’ll do that when I get home and before I start up the night’s game.

I’ve started reading Shelters of Stone… I’ve been reading the Clan of the Cave Bear books again, but only idly.. .and I’ve been skipping around based on whatever book I’ve found that day/ week/month.  I’m also working on finishing Confidence Game by Michelle M. Welch, but I don’t think I’m too into it.  I’ve always loved the fantasy spy/assassin books but this one’s kind of "meh" at best.  I’ve tried reading it four times so far and this is the furthest I’ve gotten into it.  I really need to finish it up. x.x

If you like Hidden Object games, especially ones with a twist, you should find the 3 Cards games (3 Cards to Midnight and 3 Cards to Deadtime).  Mom and I have been doing Hidden Object games together for the last few months – We’ve gone through the Samantha Swift Games and the 3 Cards games are some of our favorites.  We’re finishing up Dead Time tonight.

Since PAX is going to cost me quite a bit more than normal this year (considering I have Podling that I’m paying for too), I’ve decided to start putting money aside way early.  And to help supliment that money, I’ve decided to go through some of my old swag and sell it.  Like I was telling Mom, I feel sad selling some of this, but it’s been sitting in a box in my closet for ages and there’s no reason to keep it.  Not if it’s worth decent money.  I’ve already had a handful of inquirities about adding a buy it now price to a couple items, but I’ve decided to just let them run their course auction-wise.  This is the first time I’ve dared to post anything since I got scammed out of 1200 dollars a few years ago. x.x I’m hoping this goes smoother.

Ben’s mother’s dog died on Thursday (or was it Friday?). He sent me an email about it, worried about his mom and feeling horrible that he couldn’t go see her and give her comfort.  In the email he said I was the only one whom he could confide this in… because I’m the only one he knows and talks to now who understands how much comfort that the dog gave his mom.  She got him about the same time that Ben moved out of her place… she filled that void.

Wheee.

Okay, I think I’m done.

Poor Ben’s mom. =( I know how hard it is to lose a pet like that. I lost mine in late August of last year.

Hi…I popped over here from Stupid Dog Chick’s diary. I saw the note you left her about your sewing machine. I had the same problem with a sewing machine that I got from a friend. If you Google your sewing machine’s make and model and put “instruction manual” after it, you might be able to find the operatoring manual posted somewhere online. I did and slapped myself in the head when I saw howit was supposed to be threaded. It worked fine after that. I’t worth a try anyway. 🙂

If you enjoy fantasy spy/assassin books, you might want to check out the Night Angel Trilogy by Brent Weeks. The first book hooked me, but I haven’t had the time to finish the third one yet. And if you don’t mind some intrigue in your fantaay novels, you can always read George R. R. Martins’ A Song of Ice and Fire series. Now if only he would finish it before he dies. Come on, don’tpull a Jordan on us.
