 Things are going.

Not better, not worse.

well, no, that’s not exactly right.  Bad shit’s happened, but I haven’t allowed it to affect me worse than it already is.  Just letting it brush over me.

We had a meeting at work.  Yeah.  That was _helpful_.  I had told Krystal earlier about how I was feeling about some of the stuff that was going on… just things that were getting me down and upset.  And she addressed them in the meeting.  The biggest thing was the key issue.  Last week I had to get the keys 4 days out of 5, and while that doesn’t usually bother me, we have a schedule set up so that everyone gets the keys and is responsible for the keys one day of the week.  With Gloria out and Maury on a different schedule, it means that some of us has to get them more often than others, but still, there’s not a feeling that everything’s being left on one person.  When the key situation was brought up, Melissa’s comment was something like, "Well.  It’s not the keys that’s the issue, but that some people always have to have something to complain about.

That just pissed me off and then some.  I mean.  Yeah, I complain a little, but not much and when I do complain it’s to someone who doesn’t have any stake in what’s going on, i.e. my mom.  I just wanted to feel like there’s some sort of team work.  This isn’t the first time Melissa’s bashed down something that I’ve said that I’ve been trying to get fixed… I mentioned teamwork in another meeting and her comment was, "Well if some people would start acting like a team…"  Yeah.  I’m done.

I think that kind of set the tone for the rest of the day… I threw my headphones on and turned on the podcast of Tycho and Gabe from Penny Arcade playing 4th Edition D&D, and just kind of turned myself off for the rest of the day.  I’ve been doing that too much at work, I think.

I had a mild brownout last night… just kind of lost track of time. x.x I had to cancel my game, which wasn’t too bad considering I wasn’t in a mood for it, and one of our players was missing.  I’ll make up for it later this week, probably Friday after the doctor’s appointment.

I’ve made a decision last night.

If I get this leave that I’m wanting, I’m going to spend it on a train and I’m going to go down to Oregon to spend time with the one person I know who can help put me back on an even keel.

Hey ~W, if you’re anywhere near Portland or Salem (depending on which one I decide to ride into), lemme know, maybe we can grab a bite to eat or something.
