making the effort

i was not dead. i promise, just insanely busy.
i finished my first semester back at school with some pretty awesome grades. awesome considering i am a failure at school.

I am excited/proud of myself.

Somewhere towards the end of school, I started working nights at the Soaring Eagle Casino as a beverage waitress. For a while it was killing me. I would sleep, work at the casino, sleep, work at Ric’s, sleep. And Jason was not such a fan of that schedule. ALL I did was sleep and work. Now I have a had a little time to myself, finally. But school starts in just a few days, so it wasn’t much of a break at all. I’m in a major financial crunch right now. My car payment is due tomorrow($200), and my tuition is due on Friday($590) and I think my bank account is negative right now. I also have to buy books. God, money sucks. Luckily Jason owes me $50 something…but still.

Christmas was really nice this year, but incredibly hectic. I worked the 23rd from 11pm to 7am. Then slept till noon on the 24th, at which point I went to work at Ric’s. From Ric’s was dinner at my parents, dinner and Christmas at Jason’s parents. Then I slept at my parent’s house and had a sleep over with my sisters. Woke up at 7am on Christmas did my family stuff, Jason’s dad’s christmas at 10, then we left for Big Rapids at 11 and celebrated with his Grandparents. At two we went to his Aunts and around 6 was dinner with my parents. After which I took a nap, and left for work at 11pm. Slept from 7am till noonish, and then we left for Detroit to go see Central play in the Motor City Bowl.

Never again! My Christmas’s will never be like that. we could barely enjoy ourselves.
for christmas I got lots of clothing. Just an enormous amount. I also got a satellite radio for my car. i love my radio because not i can listen to BBC Radio 1 ALLLLL of the time. i am such a dork.

We also got a puppy named Sophie for christmas. She is the best gift ever, and mostly because she fits so perfectly into our family.
jason and i did a pretty shoddy job at christmas. he still hasn’t gotten my my present. but it is still awesome. i am getting this wine rack.
jason got semi-nude/glamourish shots from me. alexia and i did them a few weeks ago, and here is one of them. i think it is hot, and tasteful.

she is pretty much the most adorable puppy ever.
we believe that she is part rotweiller and part terrier.
she is also part shark, because she likes to bite things.

yesterday was new years eve of course. i went out with alexia and jason. and we had a blast. at the end alexia freaked out at me because jason and i wanted to go to bed. and that really annoyed me. it was like 3am and he had to work this morning, and i ahve been working some nights, and some days so my schedule is all fucked. it was just stupid. and i really hate how she yells at me for not partying all the time. i just need to say something, but it really only comes up when she is drunk. and that is a horrible time to point out someones character flaw.
i got my hair done, so that it was all curly and cute, and i wore a cute little outfit to. so besides that facts that i was exhausted, we had a good time.

last ngiht jason and i practically got engaged. but we spent most of the night in sleezy apartments and gross ass bars. so we agreed that the engagement would wait until we were somewhere with a view. i am close to being 100% percent convinced that this is the man i will marry. the only doubts i have are silly like, we are rushing etc. and the good thing is that we are both waiting a long time before we walk down the aisle.
