endless maybes
ahhh! i’ve been having an abdomen melt-down. it’s okay, i just don’t want to move, ever!
tomorrow is the 25th. which is the day i lived, but not the day i was born….thats in september.
in april of 1997 i was diagnosed with brain cancer. on july 25th i had surgery that was supposed to ruin my life(speech impairment, severe learning disabilities, etc)
unless someone forgot to tell me, none of that happened. i am damn lucky.
well tomorrow is ten years post-op. and experts say 5 is remission for life, 10 is remission forever.
so unless some terrible chemical causes a tumor to grow tonight 😉 i am good, forever.
the hardest part about hannah’s cancer experience is that it has run nearly paralell to mine. i was diagnosed april 9th, she was april 3rd
i had my first big test may 5th, she started chemo may 4th. i had surgery on july 3rd, she had surgery on july 2nd, my big surgery is tomorrow…she gets the results of her surgery on wednesday.
what a decade.

One of my closest friends was in a car accident 4 years ago, she had a severe head injury and was in a coma for a month, they had to operate on her head and remove a piece of her brain, they said that she would probably never be a “normal” person again. When I met her, it was at our college and it was a year after that happened, she is one of the smartest people I know. Strange eh? Congrats.
