Punch Buggy

A day of clear skies, and Mom and I driving down Rte 5 on our way to find coffee and to get to work.  Conversation was the general morning squibble, Dunkin Donuts for iced mocha lattes or McDonalds for Ice coffees, and the debate was on.

"But…you can get an iced coffee at Dunkin Donuts; I can’t get an iced mocha latte at McDonalds…."

In the midst of her rebuttle along came a blue VW new Beetle, about a hundred yards up the road.  I promptly back handed her with my fist in the shoulder and declared "Punch buggy blue, no punch backs."

A moment of spluttering, and she finally got out, "That’s…that’s not even the truth!"

*grins*  I love my flustered Mom.

I’m sorry I’ve been missing out on the saga. I’ve not been reading here a lot. Been busy. You’ll be glad to know though, that Erynice has changed all the bedding and dusted and is still working on that embroidered dress for Akari. *grins*

RYN: No, no plans yet. I’m sure my social butterfly boyfriend may find something for us to do, but then again, he might not? *shrugs* BTW, I’m definitely gonna be a construction worker, because I found a PINK OSHA-safe hard hat on Ebay for a reasonable price. Sweet!

you say punch buggy too? must be an east coast thing. i grew up [in CA] saying “slug bug” (and didn’t have to say the color or no punch backs, i guess it was kinda a given!)
