For Kate
I love her voice on the phone,
Soft and breathy, like her whisper,
Like the tone when she’s breathing against my ear,
When her hand lays upon my heart,
Seeping through my skin with her slim fingers,
Through my chest, past the tissue and the flesh
As she presses herself against my side,
Or weighs upon my chest,
Reminding me of her scent, her skin, her hair nestled against my neck.
She beats out blankets, her smile outheats the sun.
That breathiness that calls from across the line
Reminds me of her lips and mine,
And how that voice is sweetened
By its passing of her small red wonders
That perform miracles with a peck.
That remind me of her taste, her touch, her tongue along my neck.
~~That’s all I’ve got so far, have to go…Brad wants his computer back! The other one silly!
I love you.
