Headbutts

This baby is getting huge. She stays balled up underneath my ribcage on the right-hand side. Making breathing difficult, and sitting up painful!!!

I (finally) had a doctor’s appointment this past Thursday. I hadn’t been to the doc since July 2nd; she was on maternity leave. I’ve officially gained 19lbs., my BP was 122/82, my "sample" looked beautiful, LoL. The nurse had me get undressed for the GBS swab, but doc said since I tested positive in early pregnancy they were just gonna treat me as being positive now too. But since I was undressed she did check my cervix. I was expecting that to be extremely uncomfortable, but it wasn’t too bad. At 34w6d I was 1-1.5 cm dilated, and 50% thinned out. That.Sounds.Scary! She said it’s normal. Just a sign that things are headed in the right direction!

I had an ultrasound this past Monday also. Lil girl weighed in at approx. 4lb 12oz. Still a little small, but well within normal. I have to have another ultrasound on the 17th. Just making sure she grows well again! But… as of Monday she’s still breech. Yikes! And I don’t think she’s turned since then, all her movements still feel the same. I checked out http://www.spinningbabies.com. The technique they have for flipping a breech baby looks too risky for me to try all by myself. Maybe when Danny comes home again we’ll give it a try. I’m not interested in taking a slide down the stairs face first right now! LoL When he’s here he can block at least. LoL If she won’t turn doc will do a c-section on 9/7. Please send flippy baby vibes! LoL

Speaking of him coming home, we’ve all but given up hope of him finding a job that keeps him home anytime soon. So hopefully, next year he’ll be up for a promotion in his field and he can at least be home more. Every other weekend instead of every 3rd or 4th. They’re really dicking around with his schedule this year. Last time he was out he was gone for 22 days. This time it’s looking like it’ll be 24. It’s supposed to be 17. It’s getting really frustrating, especially since it’s always last minute when they change his schedule. I am terrified that he’s going to miss his daughter’s birth. He should be home 9/2-9/28. I just hope she doesn’t decide to come before then!

I think that’s all I have for now. How’s everyone out there doing?

i’ve heard things like putting warmth in a certain area to turn them but they can always turn back around. Good luck! You’ve got some time! 🙂
