Frustrated? Yes…

So… I’ll update here since LJ is pulling its "Read-Only" crap.

Let’s see… on Jan. 28th I finally got the news I had been waiting for: I got my new job! I’m still working for Wal-Mart, but now for Home Office. It’s called SWAT. Special Wal-Mart Action Team. Basically, I travel around the U.S., or at least the eastern U.S.,  and work on remodeling old & opening new stores. It’s $30,000 a year salary, $.32 a mile mileage anywhere I drive, they pay for my lodging either in a hotel or an apartment for long stays, I get $25 a day allowance for food, and they pay for me to do my laundry & phone calls & stuff. It’s a pretty cool deal. I get to travel around, and get paid rather well to do it. It’s what I’ve been wanting to do for a few years now. I’m not married, I have no kids to hold me here. Why not, ya know?

And, mainly because of the new job, I got a new car last Friday! I traded in the 1998 Nissan Sentra & got a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am. It’s so pretty! I’m in love with my car, is that possible? The Nissan was starting to have some problems, & with my being on the road all the time I needed something dependable. I got a really great deal. I was expecting my insurance to go up… that sh<c>it went down. I couldn’t believe it.

So yeah, things are pretty cool right now. On March 19th or 20th I have to be in Clarksville, TN. It’s a bit scary going so far away from home right away. I thought at least for the first trip they’d keep me semi-local. Nope, shoving me right in, deep. We’ll see how it goes. I might not be home till June. They’re not sure yet. I’m excited & scared, all at the same time. I’m going to miss my kitties!!! I’ve never been away from them so long before. That’s the crappiest part.

I need to buy a laptop. I want a Dell & I got approved for their credit deal. But it’s a 29.24% interest rate, & I’m not about to pay that much. So I’ll save up the cash & buy it outright in a month or two. I’ll use mom’s dinosaur laptop till then.

I hope time goes fast.
