Finally!!!

I suck at updating… sorry!

Let’s see… where do I begin?

• I had my first OB appt. on January 30th. Everything went ok. Just normal informational stuff and a pap.
• Went back on Feb. 6th for them to take my health history and stuff. (Tried to do a blood draw, couldn’t find a decent vein, had it done at the hospital today.) They gave me a little pregnancy book full of informational tidbits.
• Went back on Feb. 9th for the dating ultrasound. Everything is measuring right on track. We saw the heartbeat, but I forgot to ask what it was at. We got a few pictures printed, but they are soooooo dark you can’t really see anything in them! Boo!
• Until we find out the gender we are calling the little one… Cletus the Fetus. Of course, here in SW Va we could actually name him that and get it away with it. But we won’t! It’s just fun for now.

My parents were here from Jan. 24th to the 31st. We had a good time. We went up to Ohio for a few days and saw family and friends in Youngstown and Cleveland… in a snowstorm!

Yeehaw! 4 people in a BMW with Florida tags in a blizzard! Clear the roads!!!

LoL it was bad, but not too bad. Thank god for traction control.

I got to see my grandpap whom I haven’t seen in 11 years. It was bittersweet. He had a stroke last year and isn’t doing his therapy like he should. His speech is not very good, but his mind is still sooo sharp. It was so nice to see him though. I just wish he’d get pissed off, do his therapy, and kick this thing in the ass! That’s the grandpap I know!

I also got to see my uncle whom I haven’t seen in at least 15 years. (Notice a trend in my family?) He’s doing great. His first wife cheated on him after like 25 years of marriage so he moved out last year. He’s got a really nice girfriend now… she just likes beer at 11:30 in the morning! She’s a sweet lady, just a lil loopy.

I’ve missed my family, I wish my parents had kept in better touch with all of them.

My parents are excited to finally become grandparents. My fiance is excited to finally become a father. I’m excited too!

And… we are closing on our house tomorrow!!!
