Easter Bunny time!

Well, we made it to the park on Friday! I put Jenna in her stroller, and we made a few laps around the track in the sunshine. Then I pushed her up the steep ass hill to the playground. My hips were aching when we got to the top. But her reaction to the swings was so awesome!

She loved it! Big smiles, giggles, and kicking her chubby little legs! I was off again today, and the weather was pretty once again. We went to a different park this time. One closer to home. But it doesn’t have a walking track!

She loves to swing! She was really giggling today. And just kicking those chubby little legs! I love it! I think I’m going to get a swing to hang in the tree in our yard so I don’t have to drive to the playground.

The weekend was busy. Friday evening I loaded Jenna and her stuff in the car to take her to her grandparents’ for the weekend. I have to work on weekends, and with Danny out of town, this is my only option. I got her settled in there and got back home by 11. Work on Saturday was nuts. But, I survived and headed over to the in-law’s on Saturday to see my girl! Got home again by 11. Put together her Easter basket.

Loot for her, loot for mom, Easter win, right? Hahaha! Went to work Sunday, survived another day. I really hate that my holidays have become so jaded because of my job. Holidays have become just like any other day to me. Left work, swung out to pick up my sweetheart. Had a dinner of spareribs and potatoes with MIL. FIL was in bed because he had to work at 11 that night. Left there around 8pm. (Let me say this real quick: I live in the country. The drive from my in-law’s to my house is almost all country back roads. Over the river, through the woods, all of that. Plus over a mountain. There’s wildlife-a-plenty out here. K?) Yeah, ! got about 5 minutes from the house and a rabbit runs out in front of my car… I RAN OVER THE EASTER BUNNY! If there hadn’t been another vehicle coming in the other lane I could have swerved to miss it. But, it was either us or Bugs…  Enter Easter Fail!!! Mother of the Year I am not!!! I’ll never forget Jenna’s first Easter, that’s for sure!!!

So we got home, and I showed Jenna her Easter basket!

She played with her new toys for about 15 minutes, then it was time for bed! All in all, it was good Easter. (Well, minus the poor Easter Bunny… Glad he stopped by our house before he became a speed bump.) I would have preferred to have Danny home to spend it with us, but that’s just not an option right now. One day…

Time to go feed this little girl some supper! I think tonite she’s gonna try some mashed taters!

Must… resist… giving her…. a… marshmallow Peep…!!!

RYN: cereal feels you up and you don’t feel too guilty huh? What would the boy say about that?! lol As for the bitch, popping out that kid won’t change her, this is her 2nd one, she was a bitch before and after her first I can’t imagine now that life is more complicated (2 kids) that she’ll be more pleasant. lol
