Cause we need a little Christmas…

I spent the last 2 days at mom & dads doing some Christmas decorating. It was nice to be able to put up & decorate the tree this year. And the outside lights… without freezing my bum off! Next year it’ll be cold decorating in Virginia in December! But the tree is beautiful, and the outside is all spiffy, and all the table-top doo dads are in prefect order. I love it when it all comes together. Last year, I was sick with gall-bladder ickies, I had surgery the week before Christmas, I was in no mood for decorating. That and dad didn’t even get the stuff down till the weekend before my surgery. Grrrr! So he slapped it all together, in no time. It was sloppy, and not thought out, and just blah! But this eyar I added my special touch, my attention for detail, and I am pleased!

Now, I need to throw up some decorations in this place! There is a decorating contest in the complex, and I plan on doing my front window up. I have some snowflake lights, and window gel clings. And I’m gonna get some cheapo Xmas balls from Big Lots and decorate the hedge in front of my window. I think it’s gonna be cute!

As much of a pain working in retail at Christmastime is, I still enjoy the holiday! It just takes me a little longer to get there!
