Took Jenna to her appt. today at 10. Strep culture is negative, and as long as she’s drinking and having wet diapers she should be fine. More than likely it’s just a bug and she has a sore throat making her not want to eat. That makes sense since she only wants to drink milk, juice irritates it. She ate a chicken nugget and a few spoons of mashed potatoes for lunch. And 2 nuggets and a serving of mac & cheese for supper. Maybe tomorrow she’ll eat a good breakfast!

Work has been super sucking lately. My hours were cut from 40 a week to 16. I agonized about it for weeks, pleading with everyone who could help me for more hours. It finally worked out, and I only had reduced hours for 1 week. Well, filing for partial unemployment may have motivated them also. Pay me to work or to sit at home? Now, there is a posting for a full time position that I have been encouraged to apply for. Needless to say, I have. I’d be a fool not to! It’s a huge responsibility, and I’m intimidated by it, but I think I can handle it. I hope!

* This morning is not good. I got her out of bed and she coughed and threw up on me. I cleaned her up, got her dressed, and tried to get some Pedialyte and breakfast in her. She wanted no part of it. Her doctor suggested I try to syringe feed her, and not be afraid to be forceful. I tried to feed her some yogurt. She did ok with it at first, then started fighting it. I got about 3 tbsp. in, then she threw all that up on me. She’s back in bed sleeping now, and I’ve called out of work. I just don’t know what to do for her. This sucks.
