update-ish.

i believe matt zenko said it best.
"we’ve been waiting for him do die for the last eight years!"
and that’s very true. my father’s been dying since i was 6! two or three times each year, i prepare myself for his passing &, so far, i’ve always been pleasantly surprised.
stop asking "how are you holding up?" and things of that sort because, really, i’m fine. until he gives me a reason not to be (and if things get bad enough, he will), or someone else tells me he CAN’T give me a reason not to be, this is just like any of his other hospital trips.

they’re going to send him home in a couple days due to his insurance.
then, after a few days at home, he’s going back in for surgery. they’re putting a defibulator — hell, i can’t spell that word! — (one of those things that shocks the heart back into working again when it stops) on his heart. because they can’t figure out how to stop his liver from failing or his lungs to breathe properly, so, they’re just going to make sure his heart doesn’t stop.

hell, somebody call House!!

they say he’s getting better. well, he probably is because that’s the kind of guy my dad his. he’s going to outlive us all. but, really.. if you were in a bed for three days, getting three square meals, and not moving, basically, at all, i’m sure you’d seem a lot better, too! hell, the man can’t take a step without getting winded.. but, don’t let him walk around and OF COURSE he’ll seem better! so, there are two different ways to look at it. hope for the positive, expect the negative. it’s how i’ve gotten through his rollercoaster health so far.

and such is the way life goes.
teatoring on the top to see if ever he’ll fall.

wow. you’re one of TWO people i found ( on my diary notes) who still has an active account. we used to trade notes and leave all these hypo-emo thoughts on shit on eachother’s diaries. Aww, i’m getting all sentimental remembering spring of 2002. my entries sucked the last 3 years…it’s all myspace’s fault
