quantum connections
so a few things i’ve learned from ‘Quantum Self’ (Danah Zohar):
We are built to interact on a quantum level:
eyes can detect the effects of one photon
brain neurons can be influenced, triggered, etc. by quantum events
when electrons jump to a higher or lower orbit (and release or absorb a quanta of energy in the process) they don’t just jump. first they kind of get fuzzy, and they are kind of in all potential orbits at once, they explore all future possibilities at once, then (and this process, or decision, is yet to be understood) they settle into one orbit and the related quanta of energy is released (or absorbed).
I’ve made decisions this way. most of my life. I’ve gone down parallel choices until one solidifies. then it clicks and it’s like that was the only decision all along.
‘quantum self’ purports that consciousness itself is a quantum event. some believe that particles themselves have consciousness.
and now my extrapolation…
living simultaneously different paths from different decisions is like the electron in transition.
we can’t observe quarks. we know they exist in theory and know their properties (mass, spin, charge, etc.) and yet we can never observe their existence. And couldn’t that be because they are the observation? They are the stuff of the consciousness that observes? in theory, alternating spin fractions exist at 0, 1/3, 1/2, 2/3, 1, 4/3, 3/2, 5/3, 2… but we can only observe (the effects of) every other one: 0, 1/2, 1, etc. couldn’t that be because the alternating spins values represent alternating states of matter and consciousness; physical and metaphysical (spiritual- ‘I am everywhere, and nowhere’)?
All particles exist as a transition, however stable, of 2 types, or 2 occurrences of 1 type, of quarks, or consciousness ingredients. It’s a structural matrix of alternating physical particles and consciousness particles. the consciousness particles form the physical, like 2 invisible vandergraph generators creating a stable arc of lightning. If our thought, our awareness makes up the the vandergraph generator, we wouldn’t be able to ‘see’ it. we would only see the resulting arc- the physical particles.
when we watch, it’s a particle; when we don’t watch, it’s a wave. our awareness interacts with reality- and we know that- but it interacts because when we don’t watch, there s no reality, so to speak. it’s only potential. awareness collapses potentials into reality. awareness is by default, a CHOICE- conscious or not. we choose reality when we choose to observe it.
