6 things…
…you like to do? was the question asked by a friend the other night. it followed a similar theme stuck in my head since last week: “Do you play music?” “Yeah, but I’m more of a music photographer than a player, and more of a philosopher than a photographer.”
anyway, so the 6 named things were philosophy (inc. quantum physics), photography, psychology, cycling and playing bass.
and the one I accidentally omitted that night, if you’re the detail-oriented type, was healing (Reiki), maybe because that’s a silent, passive, subtle and somewhat private thing. but it’s an important one, and I think the direction of my compass for awhile. my friend Rich, who I blogged about the other day, had an interesting reaction (and resulting story) when I told him I had become a Reiki Master.
no, I’m not gonna share it. but it helped me realize how different my interaction is with others now. I need to keep that in mind so I don’t lose the organic nature that’s so important in relationships of all kinds.
and so the ‘6 things’ question cracked the shell of an insight that was seeding inside for awhile.
now it’s free to dig roots, reach for the sky.
