Last 2 Days At Work

*sigh* The last 2 days at work have just sucked! I changed my schedule to work overnight (8PM-6Am 6 days a week) so I could get some training for a promotion they offered me, and I accepted. The training hasn’t happened. The position was given to 2 other people instead of me, after I was supposed to start training. They are already doing the job, well the one that is still here is, the other quit before he could accept the position. I would have been doing it for $7.50 less an hour than the men currently doing it and I was not happy with that, so that may have been part of the problem as well.

Anyway, since the promotion didn’t happen (how that works when you are already given a position I dunno) I wanted to go back to my regular shift of Monday – Friday 3:30 PM to 11:00 PM. This is the only schedule change I have EVER asked for. I have changed my schedule about 7 or 8 times for this company so that they can meet the needs of business and done it with a smile despite it not necessarily fitting into my schedule. My request was turned down. I was informed that I was asked to go nights so that there was someone here that could handle all 3 jobs (the one I started in, the one I was doing, and the promotion I was supposedly given) at the same time instead of needing 3 people. That’s odd, because that is not what I was told. Reasons cannot really change posthumously right?

Oh well, at least when I get off at 6AM I can still have time to get ready for an early interview.
