Tradition dies.

I guess every tradition has to come to an end at one time or another.  Not always in ways we hope, but sooner or later down the line, something always changes.

Sometimes I’m amazed by the twists and turns my life takes.  There are days the path is rocky, and days where it’s smooth, no twists and turns, just a straight road.  But then, whilst that’s good in the interim, the view isn’t so great.  It gets boring, and much more of the same ol’, same ol’!  You can forget if you’re going in the right direction, facing the right way…..where you’re heading.

Thing with the rocky road is you’re so much more susceptible to injuries.  Sometimes slipping down the cliff with no safety harnesses…whilst it makes it interesting, sometimes, it’s a bit treacherous.

I wonder if there really is a middle ground?  Sometimes I don’t feel like there is.  It seems to be one extreme or the other.  And quite often, I seem to end up on the rocky road….

Well, as I’ve said on my diary page, it’s a life full of twists and turns, ups and downs, wrongs and rights.  If we knew where we were going, then there would be no point or meaning to life.

You have to believe that life has a design for each of us.  Sometimes it may seem like it’s being amended too close to call, but hey, nonetheless, somehow, I truly believe that we are all exactly where we are meant to be, and doing exactly what we are meant to be doing.

Each experience a unique opportunity to learn that little something, to realise something you never knew before, to accept it as part of our learning curve.

I think all too often we forget to look at what it really is life is showing us.  Too bogged down in the detail and the little things.  Lost in the words on the page, we forget there are other pages.  And these words are all just a part of one whole story.

Each experience we build on makes us stronger and wiser and more capable to deal with life.  I think it really does depend on the way you choose to see the lesson, and how it is that you decide to learn from it, depending on what it is that you desire to take from any given situation.  There are ways we can become stronger, and ways we can decide to let it get us down, to take only the negative, and refuse to put it right.

Nothing in life is handed to us on a plate..where does the living come into play with that?  Life really is a one way journey.  No going back.  No changing situations, people, events, places.  The greatest thing we are capable of changing is our view of the world, ourselves, and humanity.
