No Guilt

There you are…totally oblivious
Prance around like you just don’t know
But underneath, there you are
I see you connive and twist
Lose it all behind an excuse
Half written and imagined
So that you believe it’s true

An idea all lost
Screened behind you
It all happens
And turns and spins

You carry on as though it’s all new
When in fact, inside
It’s all been done before

Act like it’s all new
And deceive like an old-hand

Create an illusion
That you made us all believe
And know that there is more
That you refuse to admit
Refuse to reveal

So you wander about the place
No guilt about who you are
Or what you’ve done
Or how you created this lie

You connive and deceive
And carry on like normal

No guilt from you
No trust from me
