WTF Is Going On

It is amazing to me how childish grown people are on this site.  I’m beginning to be glad that I don’t take the time to write here regularly and make friends here.  Yeesh.  GROW UP PEOPLE!!!

So on to other things.  I’m back home in Nebraska right now.  I’ve been here for one week now.  Jacob stayed back home in California this time, and I know that he is literally going crazy without me there.  He is constantly calling to see what I am doing.  Silly guy.  I came home this week though so that I could get a bunch of wedding stuff planned and out of the way.  Stuff that would have been hard to do from California.  There’s still a lot to get done, but it’s going to have to be stuff that my mom gets taken care of.  Because I will not be back home now until May for my cousin’s graduation.

This week I actually got to see my dress in person.  So exciting!  And I fell in love with it all over again.  It is absolutely gorgeous, and the pictures do not do it justice.  I ended up putting $400 down on it.  Not something that I was planning on doing… but oh well.  At least it’s of the way now, and I only owe about $450 on it now.  Which I should be able to pay off once I get some taxes back next year.  Plus my friend is insisting on helping with the cost of the dress as her wedding gift to me.

We also looked at the bridesmaid dresses that I previously picked out… and we have decided that they just weren’t what we were looking for.  So now I have chosen another dress that is very cute.  Unfortunately I haven’t been able to find a picture of the dress anywhere online yet.  I was told it probably wasn’t posted online yet because it is a new style.

I’ve also gotten the makings for the bridesmaid bouquets.  They are going to be extremely cute.  In fact here’s a pic of a sample one that I put together:

That’s just a rough draft of what they will look like.  Once they get put together completely, I think they will be so cute.  And they definitely look way cuter in person.  Feel free to leave notes and tell me what you think.  As far as my bouquet, I’m going to order the big crystal bouquet that I showed in one of my previous entries.  But just as a reminder here is a picture:

And mine will have a mix of red and clear crystals I think.

Things are starting to fall together now though.  Very exciting!!!  I have now booked a photographer and videographer.  Still didn’t call about the cake, but maybe I’ll be able to do that tomorrow time permitting.  This week has been kinda crazy.

When I flew in last Friday, I got here but my luggage didn’t.  I was not a happy camper!!!  And then on Monday and Tuesday, we were snowed in and not able to get a whole lot done.  So that didn’t make me very happy either.  My luggage arived on Tuesday though.  Luckily we stopped and did some shopping on the way home from the airport last Friday, so I had enough clothes to get me by until my bag got here.

Other than wedding planning, I have been able to spend a lot of time with my family which has been wonderful.  I’m going to miss everyone so much when I have to leave again on Sunday.  I’m to the point where I can’t wait for this wedding to be over.  Because once I’m done trying to pay for this wedding, I’m going to come home to visit as often as possible.  Round-trip airline tickets aren’t too terrible expensive.

Last weekend I drank piles of beer with my maid of honor and some friends.  Actually ended up bowling in a Thanksgiving bowling tournament, and then we went to the bar and drank… and drank… and drank some more.  After drinking at the bar, we went back to Brit’s house.  A couple of people came over, and we drank… and drank… and drank some more.  We basically drank from 7 o’clock on Saturday night all the way until 6 o’clock Sunday morning.  PILES OF BEER!!!  And lots of fun.  It’s been nice to have some me time this week.  With the exclusion of Jacob constantly calling me to see what I’m doing.  Luckily the first weekend that I was here, he wasn’t calling to much because he was busy spending time with his friend in Tahoe and Reno.

Last night I went and watched my cousin play basketball.  So much fun!!!  I have never gotten to see him play.  Luckily I will get to see him play again one more time tomorrow night which I’m looking forward to.  I’m also going to spend some time with my aunts tomorrow and watch my other cousin wrestle.  Should be fun.  Hopefully I’ll be able to call about a wedding cake tomorrow.  I need to print off a picture of the cake that I like and see if someone here can replicate it.  We shall see.

So now that this entry has been all over the board and back.  LOL  I’m leaving on Sunday to go back to California.  I’m sad to go back, but I’m looking forward to seeing Jacob again.  It’s times like this though that make me wonder why I choose to live so far away from my family.  But then again, I think about all the things I love in California.  Who knows where we will be in a couple years though.  Nebraska will always be home for me.

Well I better get this saved before I do something to lose it all.  LOL  I just remembered that I wanted to call Andrea too.  I feel bad that I wasn’t able to make it down to see her this time around.  Totally sucks!!!!

Take care all!

JamieLynn =)
