Welcome Back From The Break…

So SO much is going on!!!  And mostly good stuff too!!!  =)

I got my tickets to go home and visit this summer!!!  We are leaving on June 30th and will be back on July 11th.  A nice little vacation to visit family and friends.  Most of whom seem to be more excited that Jacob is coming back with me than anything else.  LOL  But that’s okay cuz he is going to be a part of the family now, and it is important to me that everyone likes him.  =)  And they do!!!  Which brings me to my next bit of news…

It is official!!!  We have set a date for July 8, 2006, AND we have told most of our family and friends.  My family is extremely excited and happy for us.  HIS family is okay with it, but not so excited I guess.  But frankly I could care less, as his family is a bit lacking in the supportive role.  When it comes to needing assistance for anything, they will not hesitate to ask, but if we ask for anything or try to share any good news, they could really care less unless it has a direct impact on them.  That’s fine though because I really don’t want ANY help from his side of the family.  I don’t appreciate being taken advantage of, nor the blatant disrespect that is sometimes shown towards Jacob.  That’s all I’m going to say about that though.

My best friends Brittany and Ami have both agreed to be in the wedding.  Brittany is going to be my maid of honor, and Ami is going to be one of my bridesmaids.  I’m also going to ask Andrea to be a bridesmaid, and then hopefully Tiffany can be my 4th bridesmaid.  If I can’t get ahold of Tiffany or if she can’t make it to the wedding, then I’ll ask Becca.  Jacob doesn’t much like Becca though, and would prefer if she wasn’t in the wedding.  I’ll hopefully know for sure within the next few days if everyone will be able to participate.

I talked to my friend Doug yesterday as well.  He is in culenary school in Portland right now, and actually just graduated today.  But he has agreed to cook for my wedding.  =)  My papa is going to marry us.  Actually I haven’t asked him yet, but I mentioned it to my Grandma yesterday, and she said that she was pretty sure he wouldn’t have a problem with conducting the ceremony.

So far, for not having really planned anything at all, it seems as though quite a bit is falling into place.  =)  I plan on reserving the reception hall as well as the church when we go back home this summer.  That way I can get those two main things checked off of my list.  I’m getting so excited at about the different ideas floating around in my head.  I can’t wait to see how everything begins to fall together.

In other news… we are now BROKE.  LOL  That is due to the fact that I had to pay for out plane tickets when I got paid which was $628.  Then we also paid for the repair of  the truck.  YEP!!!  I finally have the truck back!!!  WOO HOO!!!  It is so nice to have it back.

We also made the final payment on our new dining room table.  I will have to take a picture and post it.  It is a round glass table with chrome legs.  The chairs are black leather with chrome legs.  It’s a really nice table and it only cost us $300.  =)

I ALSO got a new cell phone on Friday.  I actually ordered it on Thursday when I was at work.  Would you like to see a picture of the new phone?  Of course you would…  LOL

It is a Motorola V551.  I absolutely love it!!!  I’m going to get a new cover for it though, because quite a few people have this phone, so I don’t want it to be the same as everyone else.  It is an awesome phone though.  It has the built in camera as well as video camera.  Normally this phone is around $200 or so, but I only had to pay $95 for it.  PLUS I don’t have to pay for it until next month sometime because I billed it to our company account.  I of course made sure that it was okay with one of my bosses.  LOL  He was fine with it.  My friend Dendra believes that I have everyone at our job wrapped around my finger.  LOL  I don’t know if I would go that far, but I do know that I have a VERY nice job.

So those are the big updates of the past week.  I really should try to write more than once a week.  That may prevent me from having these extremely long and drawn out entries.  Honestly though… I spend my whole day composing emails and typing on the computer.  Some days I just really don’t feel like coming home and writing/typing more in my diary.  Even though I love it so dearly.  Hard to believe that I’ve kept it going for so long.  I’m oh so very proud of myself!!!  =)

With that being said… I’m going to call it a night.  Maybe go and look around on WeddingChannel.com.  I also like looking around on TheKnot.com.  Tons of great ideas at both sites!!!  Check it out if you are planning a wedding!!!  =)
