The BEST Solution
The living situation drama for Mirielle has been solved. I am so excited for how things are turning out. She doesn’t know yet. She is going to be so happy. I am SO happy. If I’m this happy then I can only imagine how happy she is going to be. As heavy as my heart was yesterday when I wrote, it is absolutely soaring now.
So yesterday after I wrote my entry, I decided to call Andrea to feel out if anything was really being done with the situation. She told me that they were pretty much all over it, as in working diligently to make sure that everyone is taken care of. As a church that has been sponsoring the transition house, one of the main things that they are focusing on is making sure that the refugees that come through our house don’t fall through the cracks. Everyone involved was bound and determined to fix this problem.
They knew that the living situation had to change for all people involved. Mirielle has to be out of that environment, but at the same time, with her moving out, James and Mary won’t be able to afford their apartment. Personally I think they should have thought about that before they got all up in Mirielle’s business and started acting out at her (but that’s just that mama bear coming out in me and of course the human nature coming out as well). I know that I only heard Mirielle’s side of the story. I know that I’m closer to Mirielle than I am to James and Mary. But I love them all, so I have to get over what has happened over the past few days.
Well Andrea was all over the situation and working hard with Mirielle’s case worker and Catholic Charities to come up with the best solution for all. She told me that they were in the process of working something out, and she told me that I would be very excited about it. They were just waiting for approval from Reza. Once she had approval, they would let me know. It sounded promising, so I kept my fingers crossed and continued to pray for God to take care of Mirielle.
Andrea just called me a few minutes ago. AND… Mirielle is moving in with Pastor Kevin and Luann!!! How great is THAT? She is going to flourish! She is going to be in the best place possible! She isn’t going to fall through the cracks! She is going to be loved! She is going to have a family! She is going to learn English so FAST! She is going to be successful! She is going to be AMAZING! She is blessed!
I am simply ecstatic with this solution. My sister, my beloved adopted refugee sister is going to be okay. I couldn’t ASK for a better.
Oh yeah… and the church is going to cover Mirielle’s portion of the rent until they come up with another solution for James and Mary.
And as I end this entry, the best song to sum it up is playing on my computer. "How Great is our God?"
I’m so happy to hear all that! And to think if you really had sat back and done nothing, she would still be there. She will be so grateful to you once she finds out! Congrats
