Slacker of the Month Award…

…goes to…. *drum roll*  MEEEEE!!!

No no… No applause.  Thank you… Thank YOU!!!  I would like to thank God… for giving me the power to make my own choices and the ability to decide not to write in my online diary for DAYS, WEEKS, almost MONTHS at a time.  I would also like to thank my mother, for passing down the procrastination gene.  It works well ma!!!  Love you!!!  Finally… I would like to thank OD for allowing me to be a slacker without worrying that my diary will be deleted (at least not for a year or so.)

Okay… so not only am I a slacker… BUT I’m a dork too!  Yeash.  Anywhooo… Hello there OD land and those readers that no longer read me.  Welcome those of you who may find me at random now that I am writing a more current entry.  Nice of you to stop by!!!  LEAVE NOTES!  LOL

So what is new with me on this last day of March???  Well…  Really not all that much.  Okay… maybe just a little.  Since I last wrote the following as happened (prepare for list):

1)  Bridesmaid dresses were ordered on March 2.  Yes the SECOND day of the month.  Not the FIRST day of the month.  Get this… the girl who was so nice and understanding about filling in for the other girl who wasn’t going to be able to be in the wedding… FLAKED on me!!!  Stupid bitch!!!  It’s one thing to be a bitch in general.  It’s another thing to be a flaky bitch and leave somebody hanging with something that is related to their WEDDING.  I should have learned my lesson with this girl, but NOOO… I keep giving her the benefit of the doubt.  Stupid ME!

2)  My cousin calls me on Tuesday, February 28th, to tell me that my other cousin who is a senior this year, will be going to State Basketball for the SECOND year in a row!  Since this is his SENIOR year, I decided at the spur of the moment to fly home to Nebraska the following week and surprise my family out of the blue at state basketball.  Worked things out with my job to take the time off, and Jacob got the a.o.k. from his work to take off the 3 days as well.

My friend Ami, picked us up at the airport on Wednesday, March 8th, and we spent the night with her.  The next morning we were off to Lincoln for the big surprise.  We got to the highschool, and got it… sifting through the people.  My step-uncle who is the same age as me turned around and saw me.  I put my finger up to my mouth and motioned for him to "shhhh".  My Grandma and Mom were standing right by him, so I walked up behind them and tapped them both on the shoulder.  My Mom turned around and FREAKED OUT!!!  LOL  She started screaming and asking what we were doing there.  Everyone that was standing there turned around and stared at us.  It was funny.

When we got into the gym, my aunt just happened to look down and see us, and she SCREAMED too!  LOL  It was a great feeling to surprise them this way.  So we watched the game which unfortunately the guys didn’t win this time around, but it was still GREAT to get to see my cousin play his last game.  After the game, we waited outside for the guys to come out, and got to see some of my old classmates that I grew up with.  When my cousin came out after the game, he gave both Jacob and me a huge hug.

Since the kids didn’t make it to the next round of the tournament, we ended up going back up north with my mom for the 2 hour drive.  I got to surprise my step-dad when he got home that night.  LOL  He wasn’t quite as enthusiastic as my mom, but the look on his face was funny just the same.  Jacob called his brother that night to talk to him.  Asked him when they could hang out.  Seth told him whenever he came out to Nebraska.  LOL  Jacob told him… well we’re here!!!  Seth did NOT believe him for the longest time.

We basically ended up going and staying with Jacob’s brother and his family the rest of the time that we were there.  My mom had to work the whole weekend, but actually ended up getting sick.  So we had fun times with Seth and the kids instead.  And that Sunday we were on our way back to Omaha and back here to San Jose.  Leaving wasn’t so hard this time since I will be going back in May for Cory’s graduation, and my first fitting for my dress (I’m dreading this!).

4)  Jacob lost his job when we got back from Nebraska.  Even though his boss gave him the go ahead to take off, when he came back they let him go!  I WAS LIVID!!!

5)  Got taxes done for Jacob, so we have a little extra money, but not much considering he didn’t really work all that much last year.  I got paid on the 22nd so we were sitting good moneywise.

6)  I got a call one day at work.  I had supposedly one day filled out a raffle ticket thing, and they drew my name.  I had the chance to win one of four prizes, guaranteeing that I would win ONE of the four prizes.  In order to get my prize we had to go to a presentation in San Mateo for 90-120 minutes.  Sounded like a no brainer here.

7)  Last Friday, we took the little roadtrip to San Mateo.  The presentation ends up being about timeshares.  They were selling timeshares in South Lake Tahoe.  So we sit through the whole deal.  Actually LIKE what they are telling us about the timeshare program, and end up working out a really great deal for a timeshare at the Americana Resort in South Lake Tahoe.  Woo hoo!!!  PLUS we get a free trip with round trip airfare and hotel stay to one of five places.  Jamaica, Cancun, New Orleans, Orlando, or Las Vegas.  COOL!!!  PLUS another extra trip to South Lake Tahoe.  YAY!

8)  Upon further research… I’m finding that the "great deal" that we got for the timeshare really isn’t SO great.  We have decided to RESCIND on the offer.  Tonight we have to take the welcome package that they gave us BACK to San Mateo so that we can get our money back.  AT LEAST WE AREN’T LOCKED INTO THE DEAL THOUGH!  PLUS… We still get the free trips!

9)  Even though Jacob lost his job 3 weeks ago, he STILL hasn’t gotten his last check.

10)  Jacob calls me on Tuesday to tell me that he has a new job!!!   YAY!!!  Where is it?  THE SAME PLACE THAT JUST FIRED HIM!!!  They figured out after 3 weeks that they fucked up, and called to have him come back.  DUMB ASSES!!!  BUT WHERE IS HIS LAST CHECK????  Supposedly they mailed it last Saturday, and then they mailed it on Wednesday.  Now they are supposedly bringing it over today.  SUPER DUMB ASSES!!!!  At least I’m not in panice mode anymore though.  We need the MONEY!!!  WEDDING is 13 WEEKS AWAY!!!  OMG!

11)  Somewhere in between 6 and 7 up there, I ordered our wedding invitations.  They will be here on MONDAY!!!  YAY!!!  Got that out of the way!!!  Now that Jacob has his job back, I feel like we have chance of getting everything paid off in time.  LOL  Now… to only be able to make sure that I will FIT into my dress.  This may be a dilemma!!!  Why did I let her talk me into getting one size below what I should have???  Because I’m a DUMB ASS!!!

12)  This LIST is DONE!!!  I’m sure that I’ve missed SO MUCH STUFF!!!  BUT… I don’t wanna wrack my brain trying to think of everything.

Work has been getting shittier and shittier and SHITTIER over time.  I’m hoping that they hire another person to help me out with my work.  Because there is not enough of me to get all my work done.  In fact… I’m to the point where I don’t give a shit anymore and that is why I’m taking all this time to write this nice long entry in my diary instead of using my time constructively to get things done.  LOL

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND EVERYONE!!!!  THANK YOU FOR READING IF YOU MADE IT THIS FAR!!! LEAVE NOTES!!!!

Much Love,
~JamieLynn~  =)
