Oy!
I am totally in pain right now. I think I may have a kidney infection. =( I hope I don’t, but that seems to be what this dull throbbing pain in my lower back. It’s definitely not a back ache. It’s a different kind of pain. An inside pain… not muscle pain. I hope I’m not gettins sick. I felt this a few weeks ago, but it ended up going away in less than a day. I have my fingers crossed that it will do so again and this time NOT come back. *sigh* I really can’t afford for something that needs to be medicated… what with not having medical insurance and all. GAH!
I really should have just taken the company insurance at open enrollment back in December. BUT NO… We decided we would use the insurance through Jacob’s old job. That was until they totally screwed him over and fired him. What a bunch of asshats!
So I’ve been up since 6:30 this morning. Normally I go back to bed when I get home from dropping Jacob off at work. This morning when I got back though, I decided to get on the computer and see if my mom was online. Thursdays are her day off, so I figured she would be on this morning, which she was. So I got to chat with her for awhile and then my aunt was on at the same time, so I got to talk to both of them. I can’t wait until this weekend when I get to have the computer all to myself to do whatever I want with! YAY!!! LOL Not that I mind sharing with the hubby. I’m pretty good at keeping myself occupied with plenty of other things, and it’s not like I couldn’t keep myself busy. I have books to read and all ya know.
Jacob is not going to be renting a car to go to Redding after all. Thank goodness. I was hoping that he would either realize that it wasn’t in the best interest of our budget. Turns out that he just wouldn’t be able to drive a car up there and leave it at a location up there. So the rental car place were the ones that kept that little plan from going through. Thank you, Enterprise. LOL He did have the option of riding up with his Aunt Debi, but he refused that option because his cousin Clint is also riding up with her. It’s so sad that he has this vendetta against his cousin for whatever reasons that Jacob has. He won’t drop it either. I wish there was a way for me to get him to see the error in his ways. The power of forgiveness is amazing. What’s sad is that Jacob has been forgiven for many things… many BAD things… yet he can’t seem to get over whatever grudge it is that he holds against Clint. I really wish that he would. Not that I really "like" Clint per se, but I don’t have any harsh feelings toward him. *sigh*
Hopefully Jacob will get over it some day. Sadly it’s to the point where Jacob has separated himself from some people in his family all because he doesn’t want anything to do with Clint. I think that is just stupid. His uncle won’t even talk to him right now. He mentioned something about it the other night after he got off the phone with his Aunt Debi. Something along the lines of "Uncle Joe won’t even talk to me." To which I replied, "In all honesty, Jacob, I wouldn’t talk to you either." Hopefully he’ll realize how silly he is being over nothing before it’s too late.
On to a new subject… but first, a break so that I can get the mail ready.
O.M.G. It is so so SOOOOO HOT outside!!!! From the time that I went over to get some lunch at 1:00 to right now, it has probably gone up about 5-10 degrees. I really hope that Jacob is drinking lots of water and staying as cool as possible. Weather on Yahoo says that it’s 96*. I think it’s hotter. LOL Tonight is definitely a swimming night.
It has been quite nice/peaceful here at work today. Why? Oh… that would be because Shannon isn’t here! LOL It’s always a breath of fresh air when she takes time off. I wish she would do it more often. She’s finished with pastry chef school now, so hopefully it’s just a matter of time before she quits altogether. *keeps fingers crossed*
Welp… I’m off to enjoy the rest of my peaceful day at work.
Laters,
JamieLynn =)
P.S. The pain seems to have resided… at least a little bit.
That sounds like kidney stones to me. A sharp pain in the lower backish area that will come and go every few weeks. Usually it’s the stone moving around in your kidneys, or making their way down your ureter into your bladder. You might not feel it passing because its so small, but I believe your ureter is smaller than your urethra so thats why you feel the back pain. You should get it checked out

An ultrasound would be able to tell you for sure if they’re kidney stones. But once you find out there really isn’t anything you can do about them except eat a diet low in oxalates. But at least you would know for sure it wasn’t something more serious. :/

Make sure to drink a bunch of water. That could help your kidneys
