Okay… so… here’s an update…

…I don’t know how much of an update it will be, but at least it’s something.

Jacob and I are doing pretty good for the most part.  We have fallen into that comfortable stage now, and for the most part are getting  along very well.  Sometimes I would like to thump him in the forehead, but I still love him so much that I couldn’t imagine life without him.

Not too much is really new with us.  We are keeping our heads above water for the most part.  I noticed that Jacob was starting to get into a routine where he was wanting to call into work cuz he didn’t feel like going, but I put an end to that real quick.  The other day when he started acting like he was going to not go to work, I told him that if he didn’t go to work, he could go stay with his dad.  I told him that if he is going to slack of for no reason at all, that I wouldn’t put up with it.  That I can do bad on my own, but if he wants to help he needs to continue to go to work so that we can get the things we want.

I may sound like a bitch and all, but I have already dealt with a slacker ex-bf who would never work, and I refuse to do it again.  He needs to go to work and help hold his own.  Shit… we live in frickin’ California!!!  Silicon Valley no less!!! It’s not exactly cheap to live here.  Don’t get me wrong, we are making it out here.  We are floating rather well in fact.  But if he gets in the habit of staying home just because he’s tired and doesn’t want to get his ass out of bed… well that’s just not acceptable in my book.

So Jacob actually got a second job for awhile.  Actually working for the my company.  He was putting computer systems together for people who had relocated over at Cisco, but then his background check came back, and it had a misdemeanor on it.  Well since then he found out that the fine for this misdemeanor was never payed, and I guess they are going to garnish his paycheck in order to get the $350.

That sucks cuz we were planning on finally getting a bed, BUT now we can’t since he has to pay this fine.  Unless his mom can find the receipts for this fine.  He said that it should be paid off already.  Sheesh!!  Just when we are going to finally have some extra cash.  Oh well.

I guess I do have something to write about actually.  You’ll never guess who I talked to last week….

Becky!

LOL… Yeah… I had been having these weird dreams, and I was worried that something was wrong, so I decided to call and find out how she was.  I figured that having been friends for going on 13 years wasn’t worth never talking again over some stupid shit that I had no solid proof of.  So I called 411 to see if she had a number in Coleridge still, but she wasn’t listed anymore.  I called her mom instead, and found out that Becky is now staying with her until next month, and then she is moving to Lincoln again.  I got all the dirt, but I ended up calling back so I could actually talk to Becca.

So she is getting married in June of ’06.  Her and Mike stuck it out, and are now engaged.  I’m happy for them though.  I hope everything works out for the best.  His divorce was final at the beginning of January, so he followed through with it.  There was a bunch of other stuff that she told me too, but I don’t really feel like typing it all out.  =)

My aunt is sending me cookies!!!  She sent them in the mail yesterday, so I hope that I have them by tomorrow.  I’m so excited to have something from home!!!  How sad is this… I STILL haven’t sent my mom and step-dad their X-Mas presents.  LOL  But I’m not too worried about it since she hasn’t sent ours yet either.  Like mother like daughter.  LOL

I know that in my last entry I mentioned that I got a promise ring for Christmas from Jacob.  It is so pretty.  When he gave it to me, I started crying.  It’s a heart shaped ruby with a diamond on each side of the ruby and it has a gold band.  I still need to get it sized, but I wear it on my pinky all the time until then.

Don’t really know all that much else.  I have been going to the gym, or trying to go to the gym on a regular basis.  It doesn’t always happen though.  We are so busy, that sometimes I just don’t feel like going.  Like we are supposed to go tonight after I get home from work, but I’m really wanting to just stay home.  At the same time I have an appointment with my personal trainer tomorrow night, and I want to have gone to the gym at least once since the last time that I saw her.  LOL  So I guess I’ll tough it out and go.

The more I sit here, the more I am starting to think of things to write about.  But it’s almost time for me to get off of work, and I just now saw that my boss signed off, so I may sneak out a few minutes early.  =)  I’m going to try to write on more of a regular basis, but no promises.   LOL  You know me…  I always say that, and then it’s another month before my next entry.  It’s still hard to believe that I haven’t let this diary go though.  I’m rather proud of myself for that.

It will be much easier to write regularly once I have internet at home.  Don’t know when that will happen, but when it does, hopefully there will be a difference in the frequency of my entries.
