RYN: I’m not too sure if we get paid more because of the cost of living. I know that our minimum wage is set at $6.25 per hour. I also know that if you work a federal government job, you get a “cost of living allowance” (COLA)…And that’s not taxed. It’s like additional money to cover what you might need due to higher cost of living. Some people call it a bonus for living in Hawaii. 🙂
