MONEY *sings the Apprentice theme*

So this weekend is payday.  Jacob got paid today.  He is still waiting for one more check from his last job.  I get paid this weekend.  AND get this…  my DAD just transfered $1000.00 to my Paypal account!!!!  WOO HOO!!!  *happy dance*
Right now I am waiting for the money to clear from his account to mine.  Then I will need to transfer the money to my savings account.  Then from there to my checking account.  I am feeling oh so much better about getting everything paid for by the time the wedding is here.  I need to get my airline ticket to go back home on the 17th or 18th of this month and will be back here on the 22nd.  This trip will be my last solo trip home as an unmarried woman.  And I must say that I am looking forward to it.  My last chance to spend time with my friends before the deal is done.

Now don’t get me wrong… I am truely looking forward to marrying Jacob and spending my life with him.  I couldn’t imagine it any other way.  But this last trip will be really nice.

The main point of the trip is to attend my first dress fitting, pick out the last few details such as decorations for the reception and church… BOOK somebody to make the CAKE!!  Yes that’s right…. the cake still has not been taken care of thanks to the lagging of my MOTHER.  I really thought that I was bad at procrastination… but seriously… when it comes down to it, my mom is the QUEEN of PROCRASTINATION!  It really is not a very attractive quality to have.  Especially when it comes to your DAUGHTER’S WEDDING!  Somebody truely needs to light a fire under that woman’s ass.  LOL

My aunt was of a little assistance a while back, but she has kind of slacked off a bit as well.  She was going to be sending out some save the date notices to our side of the family for the weekend of the wedding.  Supposedly we were supposed to be having the wedding on Saturday and then a family reunion on Sunday.  Well… did she send the little cards that she made?  NO!!!  So now the only notice that my family will have is the invitations that will be sent this weekend.  2 months notice for the weekend after 4th of July.  Nice.  Just wonderful.  There was a reason why I tried getting addresses a YEAR AGO.  So that I could send out MY OWN Save the Date cards.  But once again… EVERYBODY PROCRASTINATED!!!  My aunt said she would send out the other little cards instead and then DIDN’T.  Real flippin’ nice.

So as far as expecting as many people as I had first thought… I’m probably not going to be holding my breath on that one.  I’m doubting that a lot of people will show up.  My wedding will end up being about 75 to 100 people instead of 150 to 200.  Oh well.  More food for me I guess.  *sigh*  I’m going to have my mom put an ad in the local paper for the reception to be open to the public.  There are a lot of people from my hometown that I would love to stop in and say hi at the reception/dance.

More people from California will be going to the wedding than I thought too.  Jacob’s aunt and possibly cousin will be flying out with his mom.  His sister is going to fly out with us.  His other cousin and his girlfriend are going to be driving out.  His brother will be flying or driving out.  And his best friend and possibly his wife and baby will be flying out.  His best friend has to go for sure though since he is the best man.

I told my boss today that he would be getting his invitation soon.  Joking around, I told him that I expect to see him there.  LOL  He said sure thing, okay.  But said it all serious like he was seriously going to go.  LOL  It would be so AWESOME if my BOSS went all the way to NEBRASKA from CALIFORNIA for my WEDDING!

I did want to include some pictures of the first bouquet that I made for the girls in the wedding.  Please excuse the extremely poor quality of the picture.  I took them with the camera on my phone.

I need to fix the ribbon on this one and re-glue it. The bottom will evened out and there won’t be any stems showing.  I need to make 3 more bouquets this size and one about 2 1/2 times bigger than this one.  I have to make at least 5 boutteniers.

I still haven’t decided on what I want for favors.  I’ll probably decide that when I go home.  Then I’ll just have all my family members make the favors.  LOL

I’m still waiting to find out about food.  That was supposed to be my mom’s job too.  So probably won’t find out anything more on that until I get home.  I’m coming to the realization that I have basically planned this whole thing by myself.  LOL  WOW!!!  I think I’ve done okay so far.  I guess we’ll see what the final outcome is at the time of the wedding.

Well folksies… I better get back to work on these follow ups.  Today has been nice due to the fact that my idiot manager wasn’t here stressing me out.  He called me this morning talking all nice to me… to tell me that he wouldn’t be in today and that he couldn’t get logged on from home.  OH DARN!!!  We all did the *happy dance* this morning.  LOL
