~~~It’s That Time~~~

I can’t believe that it’s Christmas time already!!!!  This year FLEW by!!!!  I’ve had this diary for a whole year!!!  Granted I haven’t written in it in over a month…  I’ve still maintained it to some extent though!!!

I am so proud of me!!!  =)

I don’t know why I always say sorry when I don’t write for long periods of time.  It’s not like anyone really reads this anymore.  I remember at one point in time, I had quite a few dedicated readers.  LOL  Not anymore.  Now I only have one.  But she’s awesome, so I can’t complain.  =)

So now for an update…

Work has been going really well.  I’ve stayed really busy between working at two different locations.  I don’t know if I ever really explained what it is that I do, but my official title is “Telecom analyst” or “Wireless analyst”.  Almost sounds important huh?  LOL

Basically what I do, is order and maintain mobile services for two different major companies.  Meaning… I take care of the cell phone service for the employees of two different companies.  My actual employer is called STS International, Inc.  The companies that I personally provide support for are Cisco and Intuit.  Cisco makes routers for big companies and some other products such as internet phones.  The other company that I provide support for is Intuit, Inc. which is the company that makes Quicken Accounting software.  Each company has thousands of employees, with a good majority of those employees having company paid cell phone service.

My job involves a lot of busy work.  For the most part, I always have something to do.  But I also have quite a bit of leeway as far as my time management goes.  My boss doesn’t micro-manage me at all, which is great.  He’s made it known that he has been very happy with the work that I have done so far, and that I am indeed a fast learner.  He often has me clean up after the guy that I work with on the Intuit side, as he is known for making mistakes over there.  This guy that works with me on Intuit isn’t real quick on the uptake, and hasn’t caught on nearly as fast as I did.  I kinda feel bad for the guy.  My boss gave me a Christmas bonus check the other day, and made it well known that I was the only one that got one, and that the other guy didn’t.  He made sure that I didn’t go and mention it to the other guy.  Poor guy.

I usually am able to get to work at around 8 in the morning or a little after, and I normally leave at around 4:30 or so.  My boss doesn’t really pay all that much attention as to when I come and go, as long as my work is getting finished.

So that’s pretty much how my work has been going.  I’m definitely a happy camper.

I know one thing…  I’m so ready for the holiday’s to be OVER!!!  I always get so stressed out during the holidays.  I’m just not real big on Christmas.  At least not on the commercial side of it.  I am all about the religious meaning of the holiday, just don’t understand why Christmas has to be about shopping.  I think it’s really sad.

Jacob kept asking me what I wanted for Christmas, and I would never really be able to tell him straight up what I wanted.  I finally just told him, that anytime somebody asks me what I want, I NEVER tell them.  The way that I see it is if someone wants to give me a “gift”, I want it to be something that THEY want to give me, and not something that I ASK for.  If I really NEED something that bad, I’ll buy it for myself.  I look at a gift as something that I don’t really want to know what it is that I’m getting.

So Jacob and I didn’t really get anything for each other.  Main reason was because we are always together and already know what we have gotten each other.  We did get gym membership though, and will be starting on Wednesday.  I’m pretty excited about it.  I’m finally going to be doing something about losing weight instead of just THINKING about it.   LOL

I do have more to write, and I promise that I will edit this entry tomorrow.  I’m ready to go home though.  I have a few last minute things that I have to do before I send of my mom’s gifts.
