Interview

Well I went for my interview today.  At first I thought it was going to end up horribly…  for the simple fact that I was running late.  I would have been right on time if I would have gone through with my plan.  I planned on this morning taking Jacob to work (which I did) then coming back home, starting to get ready at about 10 (which I did as well), going to the library to check my email again as I couldn’t remember exactly what time my interview was at (did) then going directly to the interview so I could be a little early (didn’t happen).

I got in the shower and was just finishing up when Jacob called because he missed me.  LOL  He’s so funny.  But I wasn’t laughing much this morning because I wanted to get ready and get going.  He wanted me to bring him something to eat since he hadn’t had time to pack a lunch this morning.  I told him I would bring him something after my interview, but that I had to go and would talk to him later.

Well I got my email checked finally and found out that my interview wasn’t until 1:00.  Good, I thought, now I had time to mess around on the computer for a bit then go.  Well at about noon I decided that I would go ahead and get something for Jacob to eat since it wouldn’t really take me all that long to get from where he works to the interview.  So I thought…  LOL

I dropped of some Taco Bell for him, then took off for my interview.  Only thing was that I was coming for the opposite direction from the direction that I had written down.  So I had to think and turn them all around, so that I could figure out where this place was.

Luckily I did find the right building, but first I parked in the back so I had to walk all the way around to the front of the building…  only then to realize that I forgot the paper with the actual suite # on it and didn’t know for sure where in the building I was supposed to be.

I walked all around the first floor, opened some doors, but nothing seemed like it was the right place.  I went to the second floor, and this guy came up to me.  I told him that I had and interview in the building, but I wasn’t exactly sure where.  LOL  He was so nice.  At first he said that it was for him, but then we realized that it wasn’t even for his company.  LOL  He helped me to find the right place though.  =)  He even let me use his computer so that I could check my email to make sure I was in the right building.  I ended up going back downstairs to one of the offices there.

The guy that was interviewing me was running late though, so I lucked out as far as that went.  He was really nice, and I actually felt like I would probably be able to do the job being offered.  What I would be doing is handling one account for an entire company.  It would be their cell phone account for all of their employees.  While talking to the guy that was interviewing me, a lot of what he was saying I understood.  He liked the fact that I used to work for AT&T Wireless, and that I knew about cell phones already as well as about plans.  That might be a plus on my side!!! 

I think I did alright at the interview, and I made sure to thank him for the opportunity at the end.  He asked me to email him references of people that I have already worked for as soon as I could, so I told him I would make sure to do that within the hour.  Which I did…  so I hope that is another point for me.  In the email I also made sure to thank him again for the opportunity for the interview and also told him I was looking forward to hearing back from him.  I’d say I’m pretty good at kissing ass when I need to.  LOL  In fact…  I’d have to say that this is actually the first time that I’ve actually ever attempted to suck up to somebody in order to get a job.  LOL  Come on though… it’s $40, 000/ year. 

So everybody…  keep your fingers crossed for me!!!!  I won’t be really disappointed if I don’t get the job, just because I know I might not have ALL of the qualifications they are looking for, but surprisingly I ended up also having way more than I thought I would.  If I don’t get this job, I’m sure that I will be finding something else really soon.  I just have this feeling I guess.

Well that’s about all that I know.  I’m way hungry, so I’m gonna head on over to the house now.
