I Might Have Got It!!!!

I can’t believe it, but I may have got that job that I interviewed for last week.  I never would have imagined that they were going to serious consider me, and since the guy didn’t call me back last week, I figured that they decided on somebody else. 

So yesterday I was here at the library and I wrote an entry for here, but for some reason it wouldn’t save.  Imagine that…  Open Diary not working.  LOL  Basically the entry was about how stressed I was starting to get because I had not only not heard anything from that interview, but I hadn’t heard anything from the staffing place that had hired me on either.  On top of all that, I found out that Jacob’s sister’s mother is moving up here from Mexico (Sandra is his half sister and they don’t have the same mother).  So since she is moving up here from Mexico in one month we have to hurry up and get enough money together and get our own place as well.

YAY!!!  Talk about stressed out.  So I wasn’t hearing anything back from jobs and am about to not have a place to stay anymore either when I got a phone call yesterday from Cliff, the guy who interviewed me for the big paying position.  He said that they were considering hiring me and asked if I was still interested and if I would be able to come in today to talk to some people that I would be working with.  The position has changed a little bit as well.  I’ll be doing the same thing that I interviewed for, but half the time I will be at one location and the other half of the time I will be at another. 

I like that idea because then I won’t get bored going to the same place EVERYDAY.  I’m so excited.  The guys that I met with today were really nice.  I would be working with two guys.  One is Portuguese and his name is Areval or something like that, and the other is a black guy named Hannibal.  They seemed like they would be fun to work with and that they would be helpful in teaching me what I need to do.  So Cliff had me meet with them first, and they told me when they were leaving the conference room that I would probably get though job.  =)

After I met with them I had to meet with the manager of the company that the company I would be employed by works for.  Did that make sense?  LOL  Anyway…  I had to meet with him as well, and he evidentally assumed that I already had the job.  He kept referring to when I would start and the scheduling of when I would be at which office.  I think that is a good sign.

After I finished talking with him, he took me back to Cliff’s office.  Cliff told me that he was going to talk to the people that I had met with to see what they thought and that he would call me back either later today or tomorrow.  He said that last week though too.  I hope that he does call me though.  I can’t believe that I am now one step closer to making $40,000/year.  That’s another thing though…  ever since I started talking with Cliff I have never mentioned for sure how much I would be making.  The first guy that called me told me $40,000…  I hope it’s still that much.

Oh and if I get hired on I will also get a pager thing.  Cool huh?  LOL

All I can think about is how much my life is going to change if actually do get this job.  Everything is going to be so different.  No more worrying about debts and tickets and such in Texas.  I’ll be able to pay all of that off and for sure have my name cleared!!!  I can’t believe it!!!  =)  I’ll be able to afford a decent place for me and Jacob to live.  He’ll be able to go back to school and do what he wants.  We’ll be able to afford a new car!!! 

This is the opportunity of a lifetime for me.  Whoever’s out there reading this…. KEEP YOUR FINGERS CROSSED FOR ME!!!!  =)
