R.I.P. Jason Minke

Today is Jason’s viewing and tomorrow, the funeral. God this is going to be so hard.

None of you know the story of Jason, so let me fill you all in. My best friend Trish and her ex boyfriend introduced me to Jason. We hung out with a huge group of guys for about a total of 2 years straight. We went on trips to pismo, camping, spent every day together. For two years straight okay. We were the females of the bike club that they called EOS Bike Club (Exhibition of Speed). There were about 20 of us that hung out together, but only about 10 guys that actually rode. Trisha and her boyfriend wanted so bad for me and Jason to get together. It would be two  best friends with two best friends. Perfect huh? Guess things will never turn out like that. About November of last year me and Jason started getting really close. Always hanging out, and just got close. We started to kind of date i guess you would say. New Years me and him hung out all night. He was my New Years kiss. It was a great one at that. Well we talked for about a month or so longer, and then Trish and her boyfriend split, so me and Jason quit talking also. Not intentionally, just kind of fell out of touch. Well i call him about a month or two ago and talk to him.  We were gonna go on a ride together on the motorcycle and what not. Jason was always a cautious rider. That didnt end up happening because John (my current boyfriend/ baby daddy…lol) threw a fit. Well im sitting at john’s house on sunday and i get a call from Trish. Hysterically crying she tells me that Jason died. OMG, how could this happen?

Jason and Dave were on their way home in Hollister. They were there visiting Jason’s dad. Jason took a turn and hit a pile of dirt. It brought his bike out from underneath him and threw him to the side of a mountain. Dave saw the reflection of his bike off the mountain and ran over to him. He was breathing only for a few minutes more, and then he died in Dave’s arms. He tried to give him CPR but he wouldnt come back. We drove up to Hollister as soon as we found out to see his family. His dad was a mess and so was Dave. Dave has been best friends with Jason since Kindergarten. So you could only imagine how well he is doing. Having your best friend die in your arms. Yeah, thats like losing  half of your soul.

Well im off to the viewing, i’ll keep updating…
