People Bingo and Mr Steer

My day hasn’t been too bad. I had physics first. That lesson didn’t go too well because I wasn’t really concentrating. I was sitting thinking about which clothes it would be practical to wear tomorrow on the trip to Holt when I heard "Lauren?" from Mr Astwick. I was like "erm…what?" meh he’s used to me not listening so it doesn’t matter.

Second lesson was general studies. Mr N was away so we got left work. My God. This is a new concept. When we had Mr F last year he spent the whole lesson every lesson telling anecdotes and mucking around but teaching at the same time. Mr N’s lesson last week was SO boring. We actually had to work. My God. And then, because he’s not here, we get friggin’ homework. homework for general studies! what’s going on??

Third was psychology. I blagged an excuse for why I hadn’t finished my statistics for my coursework. I was like…I have 3 separate hypotheses for my study so I’ve had to do 3 separate Chi2 tests and then analyse each of them. And with 35 participants and 4 separate pieces of information for each one, it gets a little confusing so I have to take my time over it but now I understand exactly how I’m doing the statistics I’ll be able to get it done in no time. She was like "Woah that’s a lot of work, You have a lot to do for your study" and i was like woo no moan from Miss Bitch for once. But then she started questioning me about my study so I could start to tel her what I was going to include in my evaluation (all the time thinking I haven’t even done my introduction yet let alone a bloody evaluation) and I had to think quickly when she started asking about what type of person I used to perform my study (coz it needed to look like a general member of the public) and I was like "erm…" crap lol.I actually made up the results and didn’t bother doing my experiment so I had noone performing it lol but she believed me. I’m good at lying when I wanna be. lol.

Anyway, after that was lunch. Blah, nothing interesting. On to tutor time. We had the extended tutor time of the week so we played People Bingo. It’s played at the beginning of every year with 6th form. My god it’s fun. It’s all about getting our 6thform as one big 6thform rather than 2 separate years and separate friendship groups. It doesn’t really work but it is fun. But what exactly is people bingo I hear you ask. OK…you’re not but I’m sure you want to know. Upper and Lower sixth meet one of the halls and we’re given a sheet of paper with like 24 boxes on or something…well…a grid. And each box has something like "Is a vegetarian"  "Can do a cartwheel" "Can speak German" "Can name all 7 dwarfs". And you have to go round talking to people you don’t know and find out what box you can put their name in lol. It’s fun. You talk to all kinds of people you would’ve never spoken to before.

Ooh I missed out something that happened today before  that. On the way down to  the hall to play people bingo, my friends who I was walking with got caught in the rush of people on the stairs so I carried on walking so they could catch me up. My head of 6th form came out of the door into the car park at the same time as me. And he said "oh, Lauren" and i was like "yus?" "the last term of last year you seemed really down and as if you were drifting a lot. I hope everything is ok, I’m not saying I want you to tell me anything but if you do need someone to talk to or need any help, I’m always here" I was like…now that’s two teachers watching me. Lord. Do i really seem that miserable? And yesterday Kylie kept asking Zoë if I was ok. (Zoë kept telling me) *sighs slightly*

I go on Biology trip tomorrow. Should be fun if I can keep my cuts hidden from everyone. I hope so. I can’t deal with people knowing I cut again.  Oh well. I have a bucket load of maths homework to do for tomorrow morning and then I have to go pack. So I guess I should stop writing in here. Unless I make a quick entry later tonight, I’ll be back Friday.
