rain woke me up

 the sound of rain woke me up this morning, then the phone rang.  the phone call was the drs office telling my mom that she had to be at the office around 8 am so they could start her treatment.  not exactly sure what this will entail, but it will be an all day process and i’m sure the lady will be exhausted.  she’s been a trooper for so far.  she went back into the hospital last sunday for a couple days.  she was running a fever around 101 and the dr told us that when that happens to call, they told us to get her to the ER to make sure she didn’t have pneumonia.  she didn’t, but over the next few days they pumper her full of antibiotics and fluids, gave a her a couple blood transfusions and sent her on her way. 

i am glad i live at home.  how many of you actually knew that?  that i share a house with my mom?  she’s on end of the house and i’m on the other.  its nice because i’m able to help her take care of things.  i helped her take a shower today.  i’ve gotten over my discomfort about that.  amazing how quickly that goes away.  

in short, she’s doing okay considering how sick she is.  the road will be a long one.
