i’ve got a bowl of ice cream & know how to use it

so, i’m back at the bookstore fulltime.  its kind of weird to be there, again.  i never left, but its been 2 1/2 years since i was doing it fulltime.  i was in the library field working as a librarian, but the funding got cut and so did i.  it was such a blessing to have this job open up.  i wasn’t sure what i was going to be doing.  i’m a ‘headcashier" which means i go and take of returns, make change, and do cash pickups as well as supervise cashiers and when needed assist in cash handling.  i also am responsible for some merchandising and stuff like that.  it was a hell of a pay cut, but you know its better to get something than nothing and i’ll take the something.  also, i’ll be eligible for benefits in about 7 weeks, so that will help.

the strangest thing about working at the bookstore is this: i have two days off.  for the last 2+ years, i’ve been working 6 days a week, upwards of 55 hours a week… i have "all" this time off now and i haven’t the foggiest as to what to do with myself.  i actually kind of feel guilty about not doing much. i’ll either find a parttime gig or volunteer, maybe i’ll go back to the gym.

i saw harry potter 7pt2 the other day. i liked it, i thought it was well done, but the only problem was i hadn’t seen the first part so it took a little work to get to the story, in my mind.  i’ve read the books (rereading, actually, up to book 3).  but it was quite good.  i’m going to watch 7pt1 this weekend and probably go back and rewatch 7pt2 next week.

its suddenly gotten late and i’m tired.
