a hole

 my father is my faith role model.  recently, my mom said something that was truly profound.  i don’t know if she realized it at the time, but it certainly struck a chord with me.  i am drawn to people who have a deep, abiding Faith.  she said that out loud.  i never truly realized that until she said it.  its true, i am.  actually, i’m drawn to people who have a deep, abiding Lutheran faith.  in some aspect, i’m trying to find my father.  next year will be the third anniversary of his death.  he was the most faithful man i ever knew.  he lived his faith.  he loved because of his faith.  i miss my father so much.  he was the most amazing, Christ-filled man i have ever known.  i am so thankful that he led me to faith.  he lived his faith day in and day out.  

i miss him daily.  i miss his counsel.  i miss his insight.  i miss his ministry.
