Mixed Emotions

Tomorrow is the last day at the old job.

Four years away from home coming to an end.  The new job is almost an hour drive but doable I think.  We shall see.  The last three years have been filled with challenges and changes.  I’ve never worked on an Army base before.  Pre-9/11 this base was essentially open.  No guarded gates.  Almost no one I have worked with remembers that far back.  I’ve worked with some really good people and a few difficult ones.  Many I will miss.

Adjusting to living together full time with my family will be an adjustment for us all.  Got to figure out how to deal with my snoring or add on a room to the house.

The new job awaits next Monday.  Some aspects will be refreshing knowledge on familiar systems while others will be mostly new.
