Dog and Boys’ Last Day

Taking the dog, L, and A down to my parents’ house tomorrow. I think it will be best to have them not be around when the BIG move happens on Thursday.

The boys will be sad tomorrow when we leave and they say goodbye to their home. But they will be fine, eventually.

I’m planning on having them draw with chalk on the driveway with me to help get some of their (and my) feelings out. It will be a love letter to their old home, I think.

I’m the most concerned about the dog, P. She will be moving from a half acre, fenced-in backyard to needing to be tied up to go outside. And even when the fence goes in (hopefully soon), it will still be a very small yard for her. Probably 1/10 acre, I’d guess.
Here she is, on her last day here:

I hope the stress of this all doesn’t cause her too much unnecessary pain and stress.

We had a black lab who moved with us twice. She did mope around a little when we first moved to each house, but she rebounded just fine. 😎
