monday mowing

Today was lawn mowing to the max.   I got the sons done in 2 hours made it home to cut ours.  We have had almost 4 inches of rain since last Wednesday.  I swear on Saturday I could look out the window and see the grass growing.  Usually by the end of August the lawn has turned the burnt sienna, but this year it is lush and green!

Saturday the hubby and I made it a point to be nothing but nice.  He arrived home from work, boots and jeans caked in mud, but a big smile and smooch for me!   He was late and tired.  But didn’t stay as long as his crew.  The last one called in at 11:30 pm.  I had to wake the hubby from a sound sleep, didn’t even hear his phone on the headboard.

Sunday we moved the new camper to our spot for this coming weekend.  It took us 2 hours to get there, but only an hour or so home.  The spot is awesome with a view of the lake.  Our friends talked us into a quick boat ride.  Even in sweatshirts, I had goosebumps.  Hoping the weather improves for Labor Day.   I would like to bask in the sun, with my swimsuit on for just one more time.   The friends took us for a quick lunch dockside, laughed at some beyond drunk lady trying to talks us into taking her for a boatride.

Sunday nights have turned into pizza delivery at our house.  We had 12 coupons, enough saved for a free 16 inch complete with any toppings.  The pizza arrived just as Big Brother started.  We have never watched this show before this season.  And even as we watch it now, we keep asking each other…..why are we watching this?

Tonight I have decided to make fried chicken.   It has been soaking in buttermilk all afternoon.   I can’t even remember when the last time was that I have made it.   But it is cool out and that comfort food seems to be in my mind.

I need to hit the shower.  Supposed to meet the hubby after work. to take his truck in for something or rather, an improvement in towing the camper.

Record cold expected tonight. Great cuddling weather!!!!!!

I can relate to the grass mowing and growing…. We not only mow our lawn but we mow the town hall drain field which can get rather high rather quickly….But we get paid like $60.00 a time we do it which is usually every other week….Fried chicken sounds so good, it is only 46 degrees here this morning…Have a great day my friend… Love and HUggs being sent your way… Janica

Ugh..mowing. That’s probably our project for the weekend. Like your’s, our grass hasn’t turned that burnt sienna color either, it’s stayed green, green. It’s time to shut the pool down..like I said, where did summer go? No one has been in it at all for weeks and it’s such a waste. I hope you’re having a good day. I’ve done something to my back..so I’m hurtin’ today. (((hugs)))
