No money no shopping

I’m spending my every free time at home organizing things. I didn’t know it would take me that long!

I have also became very poor! I’ve been eating out and meeting friends in the past month and still I thought I will manage to pay my rent. Then last week (the week of rent payment) I got really surprised when I’ve realised that I have run out of money and in order to pay the rent I will end up with no cash at all! ups….

I still had 20 pounds in the envelop left aside for my violin lesson (now I’m taking only 2 lessons a month instead of usual 4) but as I have already cancelled my last lesson last week I decided to go on and try to live my life on 5 pounds that I had in my purse. 5 pounds for more than a week! I had some food at home and my parents live close by so I knew I will survive….it was more the feeling of being without money that frightened me!

Then on my way to violin lesson my teacher texted me asking if I still want to sell my old smaller violin, and if yes she would like to buy it! We agreed that instead of money I will take a few lessons for free….so that day I didn’t pay for that lesson and got those 20 pounds back to my purse! God provides 🙂

Then my brother got some cash from his old work, they paid him more than he expected, so it was him now who was buying me drinks etc (as it used to be me who always paid for him…one of many, many 😉 reasons I run out of money so quickly)

so…yeah…life keep surprising me!

I know it sounds weird but I’m actually happy despite my lack of cash….I feel in some strange way more free…and I appreciate things more, I used to spent money on stuff I didn’t need etc. and I used to have that urge to buy more ‘just in case’ or because something was on sale, now I don’t have to use my energy on that…I simply have to buy only the stuff that I need!

Despite what I have just said here is some shopping advise for those who live in UK and have Sainsbury’s around

I know exactly how you feel about not having money and not having to worry about buying things. LOL… I have everything I need at home. I do however, still need a car. So that is my main goal. I wish I could try those bars, they look delish! 🙂

at least something came in your favour. I know how scary it is to have so little money and manage to get by, although it does make you more grateful for the tiny things in life, and for having what you do have. 🙂
