Copyrights and stuff
I’ve read the Open Diary rules and it says that I can use the images that aren’t mine but I need to check copyrights first. I used Google and wrote : copyright free photos, and it gave me all sort of photos that are free to use. here it’s what the OD rules say about using images:
You must abide by all applicable copyright laws when posting text or images in your diary that were not created by you
So, it means using other pictures is not always a stealing, of course I can’t say they are mine or advertise them, and I have to put attention to the copyrights of the image I want to copy into my diary and respect them.
As to my life…well I have some extra energy, bought another DVD Davina’s Ultimate Target (the last one I gave to my sister who I think hasn’t been using it anyway ;)) however, I did the workout yesterday and it was great. I did it last year and I remember being very tired, maybe I’m more fit as it wasn’t that bad yesterday 🙂
Also, I’ve seen very nice paper blanks diaries and want to purchase one…maybe for 2013, the large ones with page a day, I think they are called midi diaries, they have amazing covers, really nice!
Yes, that is true! I used most internet pictures for many entries but not for commercial use. It is MY PERSONAL use and only for PERSONAL use. If for commercial, either you must pay for using it or having the permission to use for the Copyrights Law. Or you GOOGLE for the Free Pictures for personal and commercial use.

We aren’t talking about copyright or the OD rules. Our rules are as they are because this is a -personal- photography event so when you post other people’s work without informing us it isn’t yours then you are by omission stealing the images because this isn’t an internet scavenger hunt. This is about photos that you have taken or are in. I know you said you don’t have enough photos in your “stash” but another purpose of this event is to get out and take photos that fit the prompts during October (or whatever month it is) so by only using old photos you are again defeating the purpose of the event. I use older photos every now and then but a majority of my photos were taken this month or at the very least this year that I haven’t shared online yet. Honestly I don’t care if you properly cite the photos, I don’t on my own diary when I use different stuff throughout the year. All I care about is that you either don’t request to be on the list if you don’t plan on using your own photos or that on the odd occasion that you do that you say before the photo it’s not yours and for it not to be considered for the daily entry. ~Natasha

Absolutely right about the photos! 😀 Again, the Octo photo thing isn’t worth the headache and hassle from the people involved.
