one weird trick for atomic cohesion

you are a cloud
I am a cloud
you are a cloud of leptons and quarks
labouring under the sweetly formed delusion
that you are a thing
that you are a unified solid something that will last
that I will last
run with this delusion
run with it as long and far as you can manage
it is a glorious little game to play
but always remember that it is a game
you are a cloud of nothing
inside a much larger cloud of nothing
that seems to be solid for a little while
because of a temporary trick
of exotic quantum mechanics
these clouds just repel each other
because of subatomic rules
when you clap your hands
they don’t pass through each other
only because of a weird loophole
that mimicks a passing cohesion
you don’t get this for very long
you are actually a cloud
I am actually a cloud
more forward in remembrance
that you are a miracle
but you are also a miracle
that won’t last too long
rain down beauty little cloud
rain down all you can
because the skies will clear someday
sooner than you think
