Picture Time!

Since Brian and I have parted ways this evening – he is stuck inside, tied down by TiVo watching his beloved Tour from today so I dragged our Dell laptop outside with me and the kitties to enjoy the fresh evening air and our beautiful flowers and new deck. I thought I would share pictures of all of them with you!

Pulling the old boards off the deck last week.

Laying the new boards down, in the rain, this past Saturday.

The finished product this evening!

I adore the smell and while I know it won’t last forever . . .or maybe even to next year, I am enjoying every second of it right now.

And now, on to the flower show! I just love this time of year – everything is blooming and looks gorgeous.

Brian also tried his hand this year at veggies and is having so much fun, he is going to be digging up a garden plot in the back of the yard for a full fledged vegetable garden next year. For now, they are just scattered about in our landscaping in the back yard but doing well.

Cucumbers are coming!

These are the two, tiny tomato plants that Brian had to plant right next to my rose bushes. As you can see, they have faired a little better. You can tell how tall they are by comparing to our grill which is under the cover to the left of the tomato bushes. CRAZY BIG!

Look at all those tomatoes! I don’t know what we are going to do with them all – neither of us likes them on sandwiches so we are going to have to give a lot away and make a lot of homemade pasta sauce and salsa!

Night, all!

GREAT pics!!! Man, the deck looks beautiful and the flowers are gorgeous. About my dahlias, I planted them right into the soil outside. I’m trying to decide if I should dig them up in the fall or not. Some literature says yes, and some says no because of the zone I’m in. I’m so confused! 😛

Did Brian plant all those by himself? He must have green fingers!
