Better? Almost. . .
I suppose this entry has TMI moments so if you would rather skip it, I totally understand.
Well – I came home early from work today – really early, like 11am early. I was fine yesterday – not hungry but I ate a little bit and everything stayed in. I still felt really bloated but figured once I got up this morning, it would be better.
Uh – no such luck. I got up this morning, took a shower and immediately, my damn body started up again – 4 times in the bathroom before I left for work. WTH? I thought I was getting BETTER!
I can’t call in sick again, so I finish getting ready for work, arrive about 30 minutes late and proceed to head to the bathroom about 3 more times in about 3 hours. YUCK!
I talked to a couple of people about it – former and new, current co-workers and all agreed – GO HOME, don’t get us sick! I talked to my new boss about it and she said it was no big deal at all – she was busy today anyway and she gave me a little project to start on that I could finish from home. So, I packed up my computer and here I sit, once again, on my couch.
So, I finished the project and I am going to do nothing but rest for the rest of the day. I picked up some popcicles, Gatoraide and soup on my way home so I am pretty well set up. Brian should be home any moment and then he will take over the TV for the next couple of hours to watch the Tour.
The month of July is interesting – like yesterday, he came home, watched the Tour for about 3 hours and then listened to his XM radio show until we went to bed. We barely talked – at all. It was fine because I was pretty tired and just camped out watching Season One of 30 Rock on Netflix and didn’t have a whole lot to say but I am sure once I feel better, his shows are going to get on my nerves. I know he enjoys them so much and being so down about not getting this cop job, I hate to poo poo anything that makes him happy but I hope some way, he will find time to spend some happy time with me too!
This week is going to get crazy pretty fast – I have my monthly board meeting tomorrow at lunch, which means I am going to miss taking my good friend, Carol out for her birthday, on her birthday. Yes, I am throwing her this big party Saturday but SHE doesn’t know that yet. We have most of the RSVP’s by today and about 3/4s of the invited people are coming, which is great. But, I still have about 9 to-do items on my list to get done before everyone arrives Saturday at 6pm.
I won’t think about that today – I will think about that tomorrow.
On a happier note, I finally got those pics from our weekend trip to Indy two weeks ago and some others sprinkled in:
I know I show this picture every year but it continues to blow my mind how many flowers this clematis vine on the side of our house has every year.
Lynnes brother, smoking it up at the cigar bar in downtown Indy.
Please keep in mind that my hair is completely fubared because we had to run 3-4 blocks in the pouring rain from the restaurant to this bar. Thank GOD it was dark in there!
Its true what Brians moms friends say we have very few pictures of the 2 of us together without a drink in our hands! We are not alcies I swear!
Outside on the patio, on the water of the Bellavita in Indianapolis. It was a gorgeous night!
Look at all of those boats!
And last, but certainly not least, my obligatory picture of my last day on the job. I have had someone take my picture of me, at my desk for every desk job I have had since college. Oh, except for the job where they kicked me out, of course!
Your hair is getting so long!! I want some of those vines.. I am in total loss about what I can plant and where….
