Spring Break is Here!

Well, I have survived to Spring Break!  Now hopefully I will  have some time to rest, relax, and get caught up on things here at home (I think I have hopes of doing that every weekend, and never seems to happen).  We had a work day today, so I was able to get some things done in my room.  I organized some things and cleaned a bit, so I feel good about the way the room was left.  That way I don’t worry about any of that over break and it’s all done for now. Bulletin boards are changed and everything! 

I finished up my rough draft of my big research paper for this semester’s class tonight.  I got that sent into the professor, so now I’ll just relax during Spring Break and then focus on changes when she gets it back to me.  That’s a relief to have that rough draft done!  I’m not sure if I feel really great about it, but that’s all right.  There are times that I’ve just got to do it to get it done and stop obsessing over it.  I have a bit more homework to finish up tomorrow night, but then I’ll be done so that I don’t have to do any over break.  Yahoo!  It may be 2:30 in the morning, but at least I got quite a bit done.

My mother-in-law invited me to go shopping in about … 6 hours, which means I would have to get to bed, sleep, and turn around and be back up in about 4.5 – 5 hours.  I’m not sure if I’ll make it or not.  I told her it’d depend on how late I was up and things like that.  I’ll go ahead and get up and see how I feel and then give her a call.  I’d like to get out of town to do some shopping, but I don’t really have any money to spend.  It’s still fun to just get out, but I’m not sure if I’ll go or not.  She has a friend going with her, so it’s not like she’ll be alone if I don’t go.  It’d be kind of nice to just have a mother-in-law day without anyone else, but that’s all right.  It has just been forever since the two of us have done anything together without anyone else.

My brother and his family is heading to my parents’ house Sunday for a few days.  That means I get to see and love on my nephew!!  Yay!  That makes me so excited.  We have my cousin’s birthday party Sunday, and then we can just have some family time.  Trent bowls Sunday, so I’m sure we’ll head over Monday to see them as well since Trent won’t see them Sunday. 

I think I have plans to head to KC late next Wednesday or early Thursday to spend some time with my best friend.  We haven’t had any girl time in a while, and Spring Break is a perfect time for me to get away for a few days to go and stay with her.  She’s newly pregnant, so I’m sure we’ll have to tame down the shopping and things like that a bit, but that’s all right.  It’d be really nice to see her!  I hate to leave for a few days during my break when I could be sitting at home doing nothing, but at the same time catching up with friends would be wonderful as well!  I just wish Trent’s spring break matched mine so that he could go with me.  Oh, well!  I guess that’s the way things go!

Well, if there’s a slight chance of me rolling out of bed here in a few hours I better get some rest.  I wanted to write because I feel like it has been forever since I have updated!  Hope you all are doing well.  Have a great weekend!
