Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope that everyone has a wonderful day full of the things and people they love!  It is fairly bittersweet that this time of the year has come.  I am very excited because I love the holiday season; however, Monday marks the day that I must leave my baby and head back to work.

I do want to pause, though, to be thankful for the many blessings in my life . . .

– For a beautiful baby girl!  A year ago, becoming pregnant and having a baby of our own was nothing more than a dream.  God has blessed us with the precious gift of life.

– For a wonderful husband!  Although we have our moments and there are times that he drives me crazy, he does a wonderful job of taking care of us as a family.

– For the family we have around us!  Hannah is extremely loved by her grandparents, and we are fortunate to have them near to help us in raising our family.

– For a job and co-workers that I love!  I wake up each morning and can head to work looking forward to what the day has in store.

– For my students!  They have been so amazing since I’ve been on maternity leave.  They have drawn me pictures and made signs and supplied me with the greatest hugs every time they have seen me.  I always say that I am headed back to my other 17 children when I go back to work on Monday.  They are great!

– For friends!  We have some fantastic people in our lives that really care about us and go the extra mile to help us out when in need.

– My mom!  She deserves extra props because she has been my best friend and support as a new mother.  She has helped me out tremendously and has provided me with a great deal of comfort that I have needed as I embark on this new part of my life.

– For the great life we have built!  For having a roof over our heads and food to eat.  For being able to go shopping when we would like and for being able to have some of the luxuries in life.

– For faith!  To be able to worship with a wonderful group of people in a church that truly cares about us has been wonderful!

There are so many things to list here.  It just comes down to us being extremely blessed and often times taking for granted the many great things we have.  As I head to bed tonight on this eve of Thanksgiving, may I remember to give thanks and praise for all of these things and the many other blessings.

Here’s to wishing you and yours a very blessed holiday!

Oh my goodness, she has grown so much! What an angel 🙂 Now that I have my son seeing other little babies makes me want to cry because I know the love that children bring. Hope work goes well on Monday!
